Today’s a good day! It’s Range day-Wednesday. Here’s my unboxing, table top review and shooting video of the Colt 45 acp, 1911 Competition series 1911. It’s in stainless steel, government model, series 70 pistol that’s designed for competitive sports! Sports and Recreation day! Wooshaaaa!

It must be the ammo, or the mag, not the gun. Saturday I bought this very same gun, went to the range and ran 400+ rounds through it with zero jams. Love my new Colt 1911 .45 competition ss!! I'm very happy with it!

I think it was just the break in period! It’s working great now and it’s very accurate. My son loves it so I gave it to him!

Much better angle with the .45. I saw the hiccup after the 7th round was discharged.

Did you shoot the 230 grains out of the regular duel spring? Do they work good with the dual spring?

Beautiful! I’m so jealous. I want one of these SOOO bad. Too many other priorities this year. Maybe next year. Thanks for the video though so I can fantasize ;-) Question - what is your logic or reasoning behind replacing the stock double spring rod? Thanks!

10:55 FTE , I thought FTF, was that a magz issue?

gutadin5 failure to eject or extract the last spent casing. I think the recoil spring is too strong and needs to be loosened up by shooting more to complete the break in period.

@@EricBaltik Colt uses 16 lb recoil spring , Wilson Combat uses 18.5 lb recoil spring , NightHawk custom uses 17 lb recoil spring, in my Colt Govt I use Wilson recoil spring.
