CORRECTIONS: 1:06:32 - I forgot about Tuco's ability to shoot up through the roof. They should have been forced to shoot the Courier, which would have moved the Courier down and shot them, moving Tuco up to the roof!
Thematicaly, the round cards make less sense with the trains going in opposite direction, especially for tunnels. They should have made the train go in the same direction, the small one being lighter, so faster and eventually, the tracks branch out, being the end of the game.
Thanks! Enjoyed your playthrough. You are a master at making it feel like the other players are playing too. It's hard to do with Colt Express! My thoughts on the game + expansion? CE is such a perfect, unique, fun-themed family game... One of those many games that doesn't really need the expansion. Most of what I have seen here from the expansion would lessen the game for me. Unless I was playing every other week and looking for a way to freshen up the game, I like the original better. Maybe mix in an extra new character ability, but the new mechanics subtract from the classic family game in my opinion.
First: Long time fan here, who is always looking forward to your playthroughs! :D But could you please specify in the title, if it is a partial or full playthrough? I only watch full playthroughs (and so was very sad about the channel change, even though I respect the reasons, of course) and always click on new videos to see what kind it will be, closing it again, if it is partial. And I dont think that is good for RU-vids watchtime algorithm, sorry :S Even a little [full] or [half] or [2 rounds] would help. Thanks for all your well made playthroughs all these years, as they were (and are) great entertainment for me :) Few other channels come even close to it!
Courier ability ? Does the Courier ability evaluate as soon as I enter their field, or only if I end my movement on their field ? In short, can I pass by a Courier without penalty if I have enough movement points ?
Does anyone know if the event/round card that has '5-9' written on it (with the helping hand event) is on purpose? Every other card like this has '5+' written on it. Is that a misprint?
Colt Express is one of my favorite games, and I'm sure I'd really enjoy this expansion. Thanks for the video. I do have one question: At approximately 1:06:30, Tuco takes a shoot action. Because of his unique ability, is the courier above him a legal target, and is he required to shoot that courier? Granted that round already went terribly for him....
Great, they put out a Big Box with all past content which I own but then they put out another new expansion which wont fit into the big box. Why! Whyyy! Why do you do this to us. Now I need Bigger Big Box. Great playthrough as always Jon.
