My Dad was a trucker his entire life!!! He lived it everyday and loved it!!! He sat my brothers on a 5 gallon bucket beside him in his rig and taught them how to drive it!!! He died in 2018 and we had an 18 wheeler 🚛 engraved on his slab!!! My Dad would have been so proud of the recognition that his Trucker Buddies are finally receiving!!! I feel like for years people looked down on this profession but this is a tough job! I have always told my kids how hard my Dad worked for us! His trucking career put my brother and I through school and two great college careers! My brother is a diesel mechanic and I am a nurse! I can honestly say my family never wanted for money!!! We need to encourage our kids to follow their dreams!!! I am proud to say my Dad was a trucker!!! Roll on Dad!!!! I know you are smiling down on us!!!

This goes back to the 70's when CB Radios were the way to communicate and still are.

My dad was a long haul truck driver for almost 20 years. 2 years ago, he got really sick while on the road and unfortunately never made it home. Truckers Final Mile paid for his cremation so my mom could bring him home. Amazing organization.

Lost my trucker dad (37 years in the cab) in 2023, we put Truckersfinalmile in his obituary for people to donate to help these truckers get home. I miss you daddy, Auther Neil Roach 8/1948-2/2023. Thank you Colt Ford for bringing this organization some much needed recognition.

My ex-husband and I were on the road for 19 years and we really enjoyed every minute of it. I miss the traveling, and meeting different people. The people in this country need to thank the truckers, because if it wasn't for them nobody would get the things that they take for granted.

Trucking gets in the blood, the smell of the desiel smoke on a cold morning, the chrome, the rumble of the engine, the whistle of the turbo chargers, the sound of the Jake Brake , float shifting thru the gears, feeling 500 plus hp come to life , so many things that get your blood pumping. Love those big rigs. Nothing on wheels like them.

My husband has been driving long haul for 5 years now and he loves it and we are proud of him and are so thankful of every truck driver out there. My husband actually just went through training and after his Christmas vacation he’s going to start training new drivers. His company asked him if he would like to do the training and it pays extra so he said yes. He’s helping the next truckers.

I am a trucker, been driving a truck since I first turned 22. I'm 30 now, still gettin' it. Good to see somebody acknowledge a trucker's role in the growth of America. Even during this pandemic, most people still don't see us as essential workers, which is mind boggling to me. It took something like this for highway patrol to back off and stop being so damn ridiculous on us. I come from a long line of truckers that started with horses pulling the trailers. God bless them all. My fathers, and grandfathers, Uncles and brothers were also Veterans, a special, loving and caring, tough breed of men & soldiers. Trucking is not easy. Truckers are essential for our lifestyles we live today. My grandpa and his grandpa were truckers. Uncles, brothers, my Dad was a trucker since the day he came back from Vietnam. Agent Orange, Cancer a couple of times, a marriage to my mother, (High School Sweethearts), then marriage to a "truckers wife", six kids later, after "truckers wife" passed from breast cancer, he was doing fine with soon to be, new wife. Then one day his liver gave up on him. After all that, it was alcohol use, maybe mixed with Agent Orange, that was what finally took him from this Earth. I won't go on, but Truckers are REAL HEROS!
