My thumb is healing fine, should hve no problem playing this spring. 'preciate chy'all
My boyfriend is a rodeo cowboy. He says that this is his theme song because it resonates with him. It's not about where you lay your roots. It's where your from. And it's your buddies who make you feel home. God Bless Colt Ford for this song. Because people need to be reminded of it
I have trucked a many a mile with old Colt on the radio, I been every where seen all 50 states ate on 100.00 (cause I can't afford 1000.00) china but love some paper plates, This is the first time I have heard it an I love it. I see traveling bands and Trucker's in the same class..We R both chasing that dollar doin what we love best. We also have to keep in mind that we have the best fans at home that suppoort us every mile, KEEP ON TRUCKIN'

Country rap? Rock and roll started from a mix of blue's and country, and you know the rest of that story! I grew up on old country,my kids listen to rap,its the comeing together of two generations types of music. Deal!
@rednekfrmdasouth I agree, Being country isnt about how much country music you listen too. Even though i am a country music fan. And thats pretty much all i listen too. Its a way of life. It is how you was raised, If anyone needs it. your willing to give the shirt off your back for that person, no matter if its a stranger. Its being respectful to your parents. Being respectful too your girl. I am from a small town in SC named Salem. but no matter what, Being country is how you live your life.
It's about the fans, you can keep the fame... famous words right there Colt... fame isn't what music is supposed to be about, it is to entertain others
Impromptu idea to go dancin, hadn't been in quite a while. I had never heard of Colt Ford. Listened at the door for a minute thought not my speed. Came home, looked him up. Kick'n myself in the ASS. This would have rocked. Won't miss the next chance for Sure. Wicked AWESOME. God, Love, Country!
grew up in a small town where most people listned to rap and hip hop..... I stuck to my country roots...... and its songs like this!! that make me proud to be a country boy in a hip hop world!
just beautiful sounding music...i've loved colt ford since the first time i heard "dirt road anthem" and it just seems as every song is just as amazing or BETTER...i LOVE me some colt ford
i agree with you on that it ishis fans that make him him and ou of everybody i have ben to seen Colt FORD the best caue i was at isshow whenhe was here at Fort Bragg NC

Reminds me of all the hate trolls that would talk jealous crap about Marshall Mathers (ie Slim Shady) wish I had the time to go around listening to artist I dont like and putting down their music. Reality is no one forced you all to listen to it. Maby you all should spend your free time listening to your favorite artist and not be jealous of others success if no one liked his music he wouldnt be making a good living with it
Everyone's got their opinons on Colt. I personally love this song with what he SAYS. Sure he raps some of it, but country is about being a simpler person. If you don't like it, don't go to it. I love colt ford, and you don't see me commenting crap on Taylor's page. If you don't like him, listen to a song you like.
@imthebestredneck or about the sound of the music, too, maybe?? i was just sayin to my hubby while we listened to this that i didnt even care What they was saying in the song (although it IS a great message, too) because the music behind the lyrics was just so amazing and then adding in the harmony of all their voices during the chorus gives me chills (:
@justaproudamerican12 Dude why do ppl like you always complain about whats country and whats not. I mean everything he says really relates to the country style of living and feeling. There ain't nothing wrong with the good ole classics but times change and so does music, but the inspiration comes from the same place, the country
@tadrian86 Listen to what this guy has to say! Yeah, Colt can't sing, he even has a line in "Ride through the country" that says "most country folks sing, but I couldn't, so I'm rappin" That cannot be argued. I've written some pretty witty comments in my day, but this guy has them beat.
alot of people forget that this man and brantley gilbert were singing dirt road anthem years before jason aldean came out with it. Colt is alright, some of his songs i cant stand to listen to the country rap thing.
@frostydipper5132 mostly . . . but theres alot of rap that sounds alot like this. Look up "Home" by Lil Crazed and Mac G for instance . . . also see my comment on breaking music down to lyrics
@Merten lets break it down to lyrics, and youll find the only difference between Colt Ford and "real country" is tone, lyrical content changes only negligibly. If we want to stay on lyrics, we can say that all music is fundamentally the same, its basically poetry in a certain rhyme scheme with certain content that is recited in a "sing-songy" manner to a tune, so in all reality, if the lyrics mean something, all music is the same (i give you that most rap lyrics mean nothing, but when they do)
