There's something poetic about the coach who spurned the Colts years ago not just getting beat by that same team, but losing to them led by a guy they hired on a lark with no experience. Couple that with a shutout in New Orleans and blowing a 17 point lead in Jacksonville the past couple weeks, it's a wonder McDaniels still has a job come next Sunday.

Jeff Saturday may never have had the coaching experience but he was a great player with great teams for a long time. His personality resonates and there is no question he knows how to lead men and absolutely knows the game of football inside and out. Its week 1 but if you look at this gameplan it is the formula for that teams success. Jonathan Taylor came alive and everybody looked reinvigorated.

you know what, McAfee said this the other day, Jeff Saturday getting hired is GREAT for the players....former players getting chances in the coaching ranks is exactly what the sport needs, not necessarily the Rooney Rule...thats how we get more minorities in the coaching ranks, giving former players these opportunities. Did you see the locker room video? Everyone was hyping around Saturday and it was so cool to see.
