I got it as a pack packing / cycling jacket ( Big Mistake) I wish I had seen this review before I bought it.

@@1emc isn't this the same Omni tech used for waterproofing their shoes. I have used the shoes but water doesn't go through. It's a shame to know the jacket doesn't work the same way.

Mine too is no more waterproof after a few years. You're probably better off with a proper gore-tex rain jacket.

I haven't used it that much lately because it hasn't really rained where I'm staying but I think it's still as waterproof as before being washed. Though it rarely has been washed. If washed, they recommend using washing powder (as opposed to liquid), no softener and only in cold temperature and leaving it out to hang for drying. Talking about waterproof material, The North Face recently announced a more advanced waterproof and more breathable material called Futurelight finance.yahoo.com/news/north-face-launches-futurelight-tm-021200445.html

I'm wearing size M (medium)

Height & weight I'm 5'10 175lbs. Not sure if I should get small or medium.

I'm 5'8 137lbs. the jacket in the video is M but I bought it in south-east Asia, where M is usually S in the U.S and Europe. I don't know if Columbia makes different size M for U.S./Europe/Asia
