Hazy glimpse of B747-100 (N7470) "City of Everett", the first Jumbo “Queen of the Skies” to roll out of Everett Plant, parked on the runway, as my airport shuttle bus whistled past Boeing factory on Interstate-5 in pouring rain*🌧☂️ She flew for the last time in 1995 to the Museum of Flight, at nearby King County International Airport (Boeing Field), where she is preserved and is on display*✈️
Checked in at High Inn Motel at 2106 5th Ave across the elevated 1.4 km monorail line constructed for 1962 'Seattle's World Fair', running between Westlake Center Downtown and Seattle Center, 10 minutes' walk from the Space Needle, Post Alley, Pike Place Market and the Waterfront where I had a rendezvous lunch with Qiniso Ntuli, a family friend from Pretoria studying in Seattle, at Ivar’s Fish Bar - Pier 54 established in 1938 and famous for its great food, service and atmosphere*👌🍽🍷💕
N518DA delivered to Delta in 1978, withdrawn from service in 2003 and stored at Victorville boneyard, Southern California*😭😭
