I just want to clarify, which I overlooked in the Video, when you are taking the Combat/Attack Action "Change Equipped Items" The Adventurer is only permitted to remove Main/Off Hand or Belt Items and reequip the same, therefore, it is not permitted to switch Armour in combat. Although it is not covered in the rules, it would seem appropriate for the Adventurer to be able to include Rings and neck items when making a "Change Equipped Items" Attack Action and I leave it up to the player to decide if to include them as a house rule.
Hey there, apologies if this has been answered but I just wanted to clarify whether or not the you'd get loot for killing a monster on the turn it would escape. This would be from damage from an ordinary attack and not a block escape combat action as that ones clear, thanks! P.S. 100% ending up with the full collection, cant put this down!
@@MKGAMES Thanks so much! Not sure if I was getting confused with earlier rules or just making it up. Really cant say just how much this sort of support is appreciated! Thanks again!
You left a space when the monster escaped. Is that a mistake or are you constantly moving down the combat track whether they escape or not. Seems like you could just line through them if that where the case.
You don’t leave a space, the monsters that escape or are escaped from are removed. In the video I did leave a space as I hadn’t fully removed the monster properly and writing over it wouldn’t have been clear, but in an actual game it is removed and the next monster encountered is recorded in its place. Sorry for your confusion.
Maybe a obvious answer to my question but when we roll for the monster’s action D10 and it rolls on a something like “if monster was damaged last round it will attempt to escape”, does the monster not attack even tho it wasn’t damaged last round?
So if a character is attacked by a monster with a ranged weapon, he can attack the monster with a hand weapon (archers vs. sword in your first encounter)? In this game you don't keep track of range, other than determining if you use dex or str to attack, is that correct?
yes you are correct, the archer will be trying to distance themselves somewhat from the fighter, but the fighter is always advancing towards the archer, so range is not so important in a game with no intricate movement rules. You'll find a lot of archer monsters will have the surprise ability to reflect their range, and because their initial attack will be from the darkness, or at a distance that falls outside of the adventurers peripheral vision.
Hello, when defeating a monster the rule book says you can roll from the tables specified, or roll to to receive gold instead. How does rolling for the gold work?
The gold option is offered as a reward where listed on the Encounter table, and you will just roll as instructed to determine the amount you receive. If a monsters reward just shows tables then you don’t get to roll for gold.
@@greggcarter5254 Yes exactly right, if you are testing Str for a Melee weapon it goes to STR, and if you are testing Dex for a ranged weapon it will go to DEX. Some weapons are both ranged and melee and so you have to be careful when say you attack with such a weapon against a flying monsters and do not add the modifier for STR, in this case the award must be to DEX.
Been playing the pnp version(v2) for 2 days, its really fun... And just a question I got this item "Book of skill" which says you can spend (1 time) to roll 1d10 to add +5 on the skill rolled... Can i use the book again and again? or do i remove the book after i used it?
You can only use it once (i.e. read the book and learn about the skill which will then provide the skill bonus); the book remains on the adventurer sheet after it is used, but reading the book again will not improve the skill any further, so it will just be worth selling the book at the next opportunity.
