Thanks for this series! I completely ignored the scenario editor because it seemed so daunting, but these videos provided a great introduction and made the whole scenario creation idea so much more accessible. I know this was a very simple scenario, but it was a great example of how to get started. Are you thinking about additional videos to explore topics in more detail? More on the AI plans, and map elevation would be great.

Dear Hapless, I don't want to complain too much since you titled the video “simple AI plans”, but what you describe quite lengthily in those 30 minutes can be learned on your own in the editor in the same amount of time if you're really interested. What the community really needs are tutorials for more complex plans, how friendly and enemy AI triggers work, how to use “Exit Between... And” correctly and so on. Beyond that, I think it would work well if you prepared a script for this kind of content. The video as it is now is quite redundant in parts and a bit of a drag to get through.

I understand where you're coming from, but the intention here is really to cover the basic basics. Plenty of people have no idea how the editor works and the AI planning side can be quite intimidating, so keeping it as simple as possible makes sense as an entryway. As for the script- synchronising on-screen demos and narration in this kind of context is really tough. The work-and-talk approach is not ideal, but it is infinitely more practical.

In this case I think it's more to do with stopping the AI wasting all its ammunition- which, granted, would be helpful for players sometimes but not necessary, I don't think.

I just want it for vehicles lol but also maybe they could fix target light coz I used it the other day with a javelin team just for funnies, and they went and used a javelin missile on one guy cowering in the dirt. I was stunned.

Didn't one of the pioneers of wargaming, maybe Charles S Grant, write a book about programmed wargame scenarios? Could ideas from the book have application here?

Thank you! Is there any way to issue a "hunt" command in the AI, to make them move until they spot a hostile target, and when they do, stop and engage it? Would the "Assault" command work in this way?

Instead of putting the units in the map, can we just save this map and use it in quick mission? SO the Ai will buy the units randomly
