Helos are already OP in a lot of areas when you can use them well. Combine that with the teleporting, obscene HP pool, now with the benefits they get from ICO and any aditional buff would probably be way too much overboard. Scouting with them is sometimes downright game breaking. A good gunner and pilot can easily shut down any logi play and move around the map extremely quickly, etc. For a 1 or 2 men vehicle they can do so much without much or no help from other teammates. I'd be careful before wishing for additional buffs.
All that is missing is enter and exit animations for vehicles and fast roping animations with grapple hooks and SQUAD will be complete. For changing seats I imagine a seat changing animation that is purely cameras only as I cannot immagine ten people trying to hotswap seats.
I think more realistic damage model would help too. Its a it ridiculous some might vehicles can just take several hits from tanks and still operate. And having a more detailed interior UI would be very immersive
I was in that heli that game 0:33 and we did do sidegunning almost the whole game, It is 100% harder for them to kill you but it's also a little bit harder to kill them becuase of the muzzle flash and camera shake
theyve been mostly an annoyance in my experience it has made helicopter crews a lot more cocky though so theyve been getting shot out the air more which is good fun
Door gunners still feel stiff like, you see videos where they have a 180 degree arc and don't need to aim. And since you don't need to aim in the game anyway then they should let you fire forward and behind the helicopter
We need cas helis and manPADS, imagine, AH-1Z for marines AH-64 for US army/British armed forced MI-28 for russian ground forces KA-52 for VDV MI-24 and MI-4 for militia So on and so forth.
I think the game would become a lot less fun with cas helis just dominating every match. It'll end up with whoever has the best pilot/ gunner combo wins the round.
@@michaelgmail5968Bro what, the higher you fly the more likely you he is to miss shots and die to armor who can see him from farther away. Fast and low always to divert attention 100%
@@twixmix9310 its way harder to hit a chopper at 100m elevation moving at 30mph than one at 50 going 15. If you take enemy fire you can always dive to terrain flight and disengage. Generally speaking these types of helicopters aren't meant for seek and destroy, side guns are for suppression to assist in clearing or maintaining a landing zone. When the guns are in the pilot's hands its far easier to stay low and fast since there's only one person making the decision of when to engage and how they'll engage. When you have the delay in command to the pilot for deviation of fire you're already losing critical time in a battle. The goal then for the pilot should be to hold a decent enough altitude that your side gunner doesn't lose gun depression but also isn't at a low enough speed to be hit by incoming enemy fire. Frankly with the amount of ammo available to the side gunner they've got plenty more room for error than the people on the ground firing back, mainly due to the feedback from rounds hitting near the target area.
@@Felix3301 squad has always been a little slow in the optimisation side. Also it doesn't matter which play test it is, i wouldn't expect such a big upgrade to be rushed.
Doorgunning was already extremely powerful, you are just terrible and cannot hit a thing. Now you don't even need to be able to aim or lead, you can just suppress. Coming from someone who was known for solo doorgunning along with other pilots on my server, they were always powerful.
Then you remember the enemy has tanks, armored vehicles or light vehicles, and if they have 2 braincells they will use it to support and defend the infantry from helicopters
@@alexisruhl2916 and then you’ll realise that you can just tell your team exactly where the vics are at all times without even needing to do any doorgunning, and let them cut them off. Then you get an armor kill, AND kill an entire inf squad, because it is simply inefficient to transport infantry in anything other than logis or maybe AAVPs cos they’re complete tanks. We didn’t need an entire infantry overhaul for this to happen.
@@alexisruhl2916 of course, games can be unpredictable. Shoving armor near the end of a game is always a gamble, especially in comp. Pubs it’s more successful mainly due to a lack of coordination between players on the cap. It can be fun.
ICO shiller highlights: - kills squad stupidly sitting in no cover or concealment in one place trying to shoot your chopper - shoots boat one - shoots boat two - proceeds to wildly spray at things the rest of the video Mid af. I had to skip to these parts because the rest of it was boring af. 20 min just to hit your monetization...
