You've got to realise that most of their songs were designed to be pretty improvised. If you watch many of the different live performances of FOTC on you tube, no song is performed the same twice. They are a comedy act, and in this context they change up the song every time to keep it fresh, or to suit their audience. They are still absolutely fantastic!
Wow. Did that audience actually have a pulse? I can maybe understand them not getting the humor of the intro, but I cannot comprehend anyone being able to sit through all of Business Time with just a few polite chuckles. Even if you don't speak a word of English, just the singing style alone is hilarious! ZOMBIE AUDIENCE, RUN GUYS, RUN!
SlickGimmick it's because they're all nerds and they were offended by them making fun of technology. Plus nerds don't know what "business time" is either.
lol the funniest part is that jemaine is obviously just adlibbing most of it. every different clip ive seen of their songs, it's different every time. and it just proves that they're even more genius
They were probably nervous. I remember when they did a little show in Aro video store, down the road from where my uni is. Going from that kinda low-key stuff back home, to all this big TV stuff must be pretty scary for them. And he came back pretty well from that screw up with the bath/bedroom thing.
I so wish they were coming this year, then I'd be even more psyched. But I hope the crowd is more amped up this year. I fi had Brett and Jemaine for my event I'd be really excited! FotC
apparently you couldn't really hear the audience laughing, but if you check out the other videos of this performance that audience is really laughing. I thought they did great!
yeah they have a show on HBO, first season just ended, its 20 bucks at walmart. They have tons of songs from the show, and past concerts, etc. They are awesome. Many videos are on youtube.
I'm guessing you're from New Zealand because of you saying "come home," but i definitely agree with you. different venues and new material would really help. they are still rockin' awesome though.
@eveybeavie Yes and No. It's a compact full scale guitar that looks like a 3/4.. He uses a "La Patrie Motif" You would expect that it sounds sharper, but it doesn't.. Great guitar!
i thought they were good. just the laughter in the crowd is soft, but they're laughing. remember, they are a bunch of geeks who understand all this language. so what they did here was aimed at those guys.
Kinda hard to tell if they're harmonized because you can hardly hear Bret over Jemaine! I agree though, the version from their special was really well-harmonized.
ya know..ive noticed that when comedians are booked to do coporate gigs, the audience usually never responds well. I dont know y they're so freakin uptight! Jemaine and Bret you freakin rock my socks!
man, Jermaine forgot his lines alot, but he recovered. Like the bathroom fresh part, they seem really tired like this was some dumb side stop on a tour. I don't blame them.
