i like the preschool cartoon logic that pibby has at the beginning lol -never seen blood before and calls it red water -after saying the word "quiet" the word pops up on-screen like those prompts to encourage kids to spell out the word, and it accidentally gives away their position -when it comes to not being heroes, pibby encourages them to *learn* lots of fun detail that make me want this to be a show even more

I usually don't like the "cute thing becomes disturbing trope", but I absolutely love this. The main thing that I love about this is that the threat is taken seriously. A lesser show would play up the assimilations for cheap shock value with the whole "Look! Your childhood cartoons died horrifically!" schtick. Here though, that concept is given emotional weight and it becomes the motivation for the main character to take on the threat. It seems like real effort will be made to make this a fully realized actual story. I'm excited to see where this goes! (I wouldn't mind storyboarding for it either...)

This had a lot of potential. It's still interesting to imagine what could have been.

The way pibby has to grow up in such a short amount of time is so sad. The sidekick and the villan cat lady have some knowledge on villans/active threats but pibby has been living in a world full of colour and fun, no stress, no sadness, no losses and then all of a sudden, boom all her friends are (presumably) dead and her world has been ravaged. If this show actually becomes a thing (which is very likely) then im all here for it.

The way the glitch makes the characters go all distorted is fucking terrifying holy shit. And the slowed version of Pibby’s theme song is absolute nightmare fuel. I can’t wait to see the whole show.

Holy Shit this concept is FUCKING AMAZING. Obviously the idea of mashing different genres together isn't new but it's usually for comedy while this is legitimately horrifying. I also love the main trio. A hero from a world where nothing goes wrong, a sidekick forced to step into the spotlight, and a villain fighting against something far more evil.

This could have been one of the best and most popular adult swim show the concept is just so good

Its actually an interesting thing here, if you notice, there are several random side characters in the side of good characters, and they're fighting the other characters which are corrupted by the goo.

The red water bit is... pretty heartbreaking. She's a character from a TV-Y cartoon that never would've shown it so her losing an eye and bleeding is the last of her innocence going up in smoke.

i cannot understate after watching this over and over and over again, hearing her say "maybe... we can learn." knowing that she's a preschool cartoon and teaching/learning is all she knows... god how did this 2 minute short make me genuinely root for and love this character I LITERALLY just met what the FUCK

i think the thing that makes this kinda special is that, opposite to others example of "children show but edgy" is that this short alone shows some sad and heartwarming moments among the darkness and an emotional character arc to boot. it has the potential of being a work of love, something you dont see normally in these kinds of concepts. they just tend to keep doubling down on the edgyness without having actual characters to get attached to. this short shows the possibility of feeling actual emotions other than just "HELL YEAH BLOOD, I LOVE EDGY"

some jerks have already leaked the storyboard of the pilot 10 times and the studio still can't finish the pilot, written back in September 2022.

Out of all the garbage shows and uninteresting content we've gotten these past years, when this first came out as a pilot/joke it seemed we were finally getting a good show that could pull in intense amounts of veiws/money. All really clowned yourselves not making this a show.

All the CN characters in a horror crossover is undeniably cool, but I’m more impressed with how quickly and genuinely they developed the original characters. I was expecting something along the lines of happy tree friends where comedic value comes from the unexpected mutilation of some cutesy kiddie cartoon characters. Instead, the way the animators and voice actors captured emotion here without overdoing it into a spoof is genuinely impressive. The feeling of existential dread they were able to evoke is amazing, please make this a full series!

This shit hits HARD since they're using more modern AND classic characters, EVERYBODY's childhood is getting corrupted and I'm all for it.

Seeing everyones favorite classic cartoon characters be turned into horrifying abominations is downright an amazing and horrifying idea. This NEEDS to be a series.

There's so much interesting character growth pibby could have. Like, Does she know what pain is? Or fear, dread, depression, anxiety, stress, all those very negative things she might... Learn about during the series. The scene where Fred Flintstone slides to his doom is really the kinda direction i think this will go. All these whimsical characters that are used to whimsical "dangers", that are not really dangers, are suddenly thrown into a situation that dangers their whole existence

Normally I'd hate this, "Oh no, kid cartoons but blood, laugh" but this one genuinely feels like a passion project made with effort and love, I'd like more of it

What if the darkness starts corrupting gametoons too

The premise of a baby show growing into something darker and more mature was genius.

I think that the dark corruption is meant to represent cartoons being canceled//ending/not being aired anymore, making it a sort of "zombie apocalypse"(I also noticed that most of the "corrupted" characters are from shows that have ended already or may end soon, such as Craig of the creek) with The new characters trying to fight to keep their show relevant and on the air. The show also seems to reference tropes that are commonly seen in cartoons, like power of love and sidekicks/misfits banding together to save the world. I think this is a new cartoon about how cartoons have to come up with ways to be relevant and popular with viewers, lest they succumb to the fate of other cartoons and get canceled. The trailer starts with a generic children's educational show, something that isn't super popular nowadays. However, once the threat of the "corruption" is introduced, it changes to an action show with fight scenes, a plot, character development, and various complex emotions and relationships. THIS sort of show is what modern viewers like seeing. This shift represents TV shows changing their content to fit with the interests of the masses in order to avoid becoming obsolete. I could even work the fact that the bunny is "killed" into this interpretation, because many TV shows kill off sidekicks in order to stay "fresh", and develop the main character more. A possible flaw in this theory is that some characters from the same show survive and some don't, such as how Gumball seems to have been overtaken but Darwin survived. However this can fit in it too, since oftentimes after a show ends its fanbase remains active for a good while after, and certain "fan favorite" characters will still remain very popular, sometimes enough to get their own spin-off shows. This concept might even play a role in how the Pibby characters solve the conflict.

This is the greatest mixture ever, since the show is so badass, that we forget how scary it is.
