The fact that the darkness glitch can effect even Eric Andre, one of the most powerful characters in the Adult Swim Universe, means we probably should take this thing more seriously

I love how this makes it seem like Hannibal being shot was not because Andre was doing a bit, but instead was consumed by darkness or something

The fact that the glitch could not only affect animation, but it could also affect real life.

I love how everyone thought that the glitch corruption was just characters getting consumed by a glitchy cloud and white eyes and adult swim went a step further to make it nightmare fuel.

I think we can all agree that the part with Morty getting infected mid sentence was the most impressive, right?

"maybe we should let the darkness consume us" was a terrifyingly comedic line delivered perfectly.

We seriously need this to be a show. I’d love to see all of this stuff come to life.

Ok there’s no way this isn’t becoming a series at this point. Just when everyone forgot about it, it comes back twice as good. Really hope this series becomes reality.

I like how the glitch didn't start for the Eric Andre show until he pulled out the gun less like it was trying to corrupt him and more like his violence is what allowed it into the show.

i love how in the eric andre show, the “who killed hannibal” scene is exactly the same ignoring the glitches, which pretty much proves that eric is too much even for the glitch

I love how the Glitch/Darkness fully envelopes Eric Andre as his character on his show is too much for even it to consume.

Why would Adult Swim hype this up if they weren't gonna greenlight it? It makes no sense.

This is such a high effort April Fools prank, we need a full series now lol. I don't even know if a Pibby's show would even be possible though. It would be such a unique idea to have an entire storyline scattered throughout edits of other shows, like an ARG / or just a weekly showcase of glitchy episode segments cut together. The spoilers would be insane though

I love how one of the first things they did with this broadcast is dispel the notion that Rick would somehow be able to combat the corruption.

I’m really glad that all of this is archived. It would be a shame if it became like lost media or something because this is all pretty cool and a lot of work seems to have gone into it.

Bun Bun is too adorable! From the voice to the animation - great effort on the team for portraying innocence so well.

Man the stuff they did with the glitches was infinitely better and probably a game changer for anyone that tries to emulate it now like, it wasn't completely just the void and glitchy pixels but full on body, cosmic or lovecraftian horror.

This went above and beyond my expectations for April Fools. To go back into your shows and insert a whole mind trip/grimdark subplot into all of them is absolutely outstanding. Strong analog horror vibe.

2:44 something similar to this happened when i was watching the simpsons on e4 uk and apparently it started glitching before the credits and a voice started announcing saying theres a bit of a technical fault and we are trying to fix it other wise we will be put onto the technical fault card to play some music so expect glitchyness and for 20 minutes straight the entire thing was glitchy

It’s definitely gonna be a full series, they won’t give up on something as great as this, their is so much attention toward it.

The idea of this foreboding prescience going through different shows reminded me a lot of the CN Invaded event from 2007, and the fact the Rick and Morty episode they chose was the one where everyone questions their reality is brilliant. I also love that not even live action shows are safe, only thing that would've made it better imo is if they added a Tim and Eric episode into the mix.

I really need a freaking show out of this, like combining new characters and then beloved characters across the TV universe is amazing. Some people are calling it the cartoon virus but it's able to affect Andre so.... TV virus?

I love how bun-bun still has a story that runs through this, which is perfect as the short set up that type of corruption. Seeing it play out works as a perfect segue way into its own show. Hope we hear something see.

Hey, never could've thought that a cute little bunny, named "Bun Bun", is literally the leader of a virus-spreading glitch

I notice that in this special the Void only ever seems to "get" someone during moments of extreme emotional distress - Bun Bun seems to get corrupted at 1:25, likely feeling incredibly overwhelmed not only by the unfamiliar situation they're in but also by the extreme plot of that episode of Rick and Morty - the mere concept of "your memories may not be what actually happened" is a crushing idea for a preschool show character, presumably one about as smart as a child. Morty's brief transformation at 1:45 is probably a similar thing to Bun Bun's, having to shoot your own grandfather would be emotionally exhausting for anybody I have no idea what goes through Eric Andre's head, but given that the scene at 5:50 is identical to the unaltered version aside from visual changes, I think it's safe to assume he's upset in one way or another if he's willing to attack an unarmed man several times in the chest. Shake's muscles glitch out a bit at 8:09, and given that he spends the rest of the episode absolutely fuming at everything and everyone, he's probably equally angry right then. His anger also seems to be acting as a catalyst for the void once he starts beating people up at the bar at 8:53. So basically: Four characters are 'gotten' by the void. Bun Bun and Morty while under intense despair, Eric and Muscles while under intense rage.

I'm glad y'all posted this cuz I don't watch cable anymore! May just to watch these kind of events

Adult Swim is extremely awesome for doing this. It reminds me of that one Jimmy Neutron gag that was made years ago, where he would mess around with shows.
