Last night it was overcast and cool and the sheep were looking for cuddles before bed. On the way back I checked the hedgerow for wild flowers and noticed how big the foxgloves were getting.

Hi Diane! A little history: I started painting when I was twenty-five and painted for about ten years. Then I stopped for whatever reason. About four-five months ago a friend got me started again and I found your videos on RU-vid and my world has begun again. My husband of 56 years passed away five years ago and my world stopped. However, as I said, it’s started spinning again. I watch your videos constantly every day and will continue to do so. Thank you so much, Diane! You’re the best!!

When I was young we had a few Jacob sheep and Dad got a jumper knitted with the fleece. He darned the elbows many, many times then when it wasnt possible to darn them again he took them off and wore it as a tank top!!!
The wool is lovely. I’m knitting myself a sweater (taking a long time!) and you’ll often see Tamsin wearing a waistcoat I made her a couple of years ago.
Funny little animals. Cute little legs. Why the double horns on one of them. What do you do with the wool. I hear it makes a good fertilizer if no one wants it.
PS, the sheep are funny. I wonder why their eyes are so different from other animal and human eyes. I know that they did not like getting wet. do they have a barn to go to when it rains and or gets cold? Also, you showed us 3 cut tree trunks and there were more, beyond. Why were these trees cut? Thank you.
I originally got them (3 of them) to help keep the grass down as we were having trouble cutting the field. I’d always loved the idea of sheep. But sheep tend to increase and we ended up with 18 but had to give some of them away in the drought two years ago. I spin some of their wool, Tamsin uses a lot in the garden in the compost and we give the rest to anyone who wants it.
