Howdy! Painter and photographer here. Thank you a million times for helping ease the stigma of drawing from reference photos that aren’t taken by you. The issue isn’t in using them for reference, it’s in making money off of them. When building your skills at your art, there is no need to reinvent the wheel in the process. Take it one step at a time and work up to taking your own reference shots. Lovely sketch seesh!

I'm glad you're experimenting with subtitles. Narrated videos are fun, especially if I'm going to work on art while I watch but if I'm only going to watch I really enjoy having subtitles. I feel like it forces me to focus and be more deliberate about what I'm watching. Plus, it helps if this is how you actually enjoy creating. It's way more fun watching a video where the creator is enjoying what they're doing. At least imo I enjoyed the format and that you're trying new things. Looking forward to whatever you do next 😊

I liked seeing the full drawing, I glad you didn't skip parts! Also I know it takes you longer but I liked the illustrations begging more fleshed out and detailed 💗 Well done doing something scary! I love the atmosphere of the rain and the coffee shop. I think it'd be cool if you did a real-time video, even if it was only 20 minutes like how you said you wanted to keep them shorter. I live in the country so I don't have a local coffee shop, so I think a real-time video with all the ambience of everything would be fun/immersive :D And your cat sketches were so cute! I'm making a comic book starring cats, and it took me so long to learn to draw them where they didn't look flat-out scary xD

A really nice video. The cafe was a lovely, warm place out of the rain. You did an amazing job, moving the camera to find a different angle, and finding better seating for nicer light. The cat sketches were a great idea, and by cat #3, you captured the expression very quickly. Loved #4, too.

Loved the video! Honestly, I don't even think you need to go through the trouble of adding text. At least if I may speak for myself, I try to learn from you and the reading was a bit distracting. On the other hand, I totally would not mind reading if you gave some drawing tips or thoughts regarding the sketching process in itself, so I could understand why you made certain decisions. Maybe in the future you may find the time to do that? I would really appreciate it a lot. Thank you and have fun on your next cafe hop!

Nice. There a cafe on Queen and Roncessvales called El Almacen that serves good coffee but also yerba mate AND they have a co-working art studio in the back and a small illustration gallery in the front. Give them a call and maybe you can arrange a tour of the studio and grab a coffee/sketch session. You have to try the jalapeno tuna sandwich.

yes exactly, a bendable tripod phone clamp thing that mounts onto the desk, I got it from amazon lol i think there are many brands out there but the one i got is called "tryone"!
