My mum and step dad were on the Cumbria episode of couples come dine with me. Horrendously embarrassing at the time, especially as my step dad was a teacher at my school and everyone found out. Now however is just hilarious. We call my step dad chicken liver Dave regularly

So fun fact I made it thought to filming selection of come dine with me 2 years ago. However the two weeks available of filming I was away with work and had to decline. They chose the location where they interview you before dinner parties, I live on County Durham and was told interviews would take place at a spa and gym, and a taxi would take me there and back. Its so orchestrated that I was told I'd be filmed relaxing by the pool. I was also told that they'd like me to portray a bitchy character.

Apple Cider Vinegar and White Wine Vinegar are alcoholic, although cooked properly the alcohol disappears

Acv is not alcoholic and wine vinegars have negligible amounts of alcohol. The alcohols are converted into acids that's how the vinegar is made

i've worked at nandos, there's no such thing as extra hot when cooking lmao, it's hot sauce dipped twice, so extra of the hot

@@Valentijn_vl no it literally changes nothing, there's a sauce called extra hot that is much spicier than the hot even when coated twice. the excess burns off on the grill anyway plus most chefs don't double dip because customers never know the difference. also, if you look at the calories the extra hot chicken is exactly double the calories of the hot chicken

this proves that it's the hot batter dipped twice, but trust me there's no difference in taste. if anything, it might have more of the hot sauce (which doesn't make it spicier than if we were to put extra hot sauce on, though that as a batter doesn't exist)

We have a quebecois version of this show that i cant remember what it's called but i love it, but they have to vet the meals before serving them now bc of some trolls haha. One guy just served plain hot dogs (not even sure he bbq'd the sausages, might have just boiled them lmao) and another guy made a castle out of eggo waffles (which was actually pretty cool though imo, but yeah, not cooked yourself).
