Spend half your paycheck fueling your vehicle, marvel at the ridiculously overpriced trailer park homes and the $3000+ per month 2 bedroom apartments or spend $60 for 2 people to have breakfast at IHOP. Sorry, I live here so I know.
It has become so expensive to eat out almost anywhere these days. The nice thing is that there are some fun things to do in Ventura that you don't have to pay for.
As residents, we absolutely love it. It also is devoid, mostly, of the MAGA and exclusionary culture all too common at other beaches. We lived for years in a very nice beach community along the coast, but the culture - or more lack of it - was reason to move.
