This has been my favorite episode so far!! This message is so so important! President Nelson has called on us to become the people who are worthy, ready, and able to receive the Savior when He comes again. ❤️

Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.

Thank you for this! It really doesn't matter how we as a church got to the state of worldly assimilation that we have. It is time to repent and stand for Christ! Not for the modified version that his adversaries have painted of him, but for the standard of Truth, light and spirit filled understanding of our fathers. We can no longer seek the tolerance of evil to pacify those selfish deceived, but must stand and be counted as true followers.

Yes it is very sad the way fathers are treated today. And I've experienced it myself even from within my own family.

Thank you Hannah. I really needed to hear all this and see this. I’ve been struggling lately a lot. I’m a dad and I have two teenage boys and a grown daughter and the behavior of all of them is really worrying me and I want to stand up and be counted And show them my strength, but also show them my love. I have indeed been attacked by forces of the world on many occasions recently. I was a leader at work, and sure enough people conspired to bring me down by lying and deceiving and fabricating all about me. I’ve seen the same thing happened to other men. Our world and our country are being brought down by Marxism, favoritism, elitism, and narcissism. I’ve never seen anything like this. It is heartbreaking to watch what my country and our people have gone through over the last 10 years. I don’t recognize this country as the United States of America anymore and I certainly do not recognize this as a righteous republic. There are no good leaders. The women and the men are filthy and unapologetic and wicked and self-centered. The children are completely out of control and need to be put in their place immediately. Even the so-called Christian churches and Christian leadership are lukewarm at best, and I can literally see the Lord spitting them out of his mouth like lukewarm water. Yuck. Neither hot nor cold. No passion. No desire to please the Lord and stand tall and strong. I realize now that the Lord has put his mark upon me, and I am meant to try everything I can, and strive with all my strength to do what is right. I’m so glad I saw this video because it just lifted me back up out of the dust again. I will shake it off and stand up again like a wild bull of Ephraim, and Bello to the fallen world that I will not go down without a marvelous fight.

THANKS to this wake up call! To read and practice the teachings of the BoM is the only way to go. That is why we got this book in our time.

One thing to mention is that the modern cognition of sorcery is different than the meaning from scripture times. The original meaning was based around drugs. Sorcerers would take drugs to be possessed by evil spirits, or it would be in reference to drug dealers, or those who were addicted. If you look at people who commonly consume drugs they appear as though they are possessed! I do think that we need to be careful of what we consume via media, but it's also important to beware the dangers of drugs.

This is what I've come to know to be true. I found myself doing it and didn't know I was. But something as I studied and pray for guidance. It struck me one day. Am I voting for Trump? Yes . But that won't fix this nation. It is God that will fix this nation. And once this shit me. I realized that it doesn't matter who we put in there. If we obey God, we will prevail.

Now I want to read Isaiah. Thanks for the motivation!

Wow! I love the way Hannah presents the principles from Isaiah so succinctly and plainly. I am so glad this message is getting out! I also love how Hannah reads from the scriptures rather than hosting guest bloggers or podcasters. We need to head the Lord through the scriptures and the prophets. The testimony of the Holy Ghost is assured when the Gospel is taught by one called of God to do so, by virtue of the priesthood.

The great thing about this is I can go to the Lord for myself and have a discerning prompting and revelation on the things i need to cut out of my life and the things i need to let in. It is truly wonderful to that ans be able to have my Savior there to guide me.

The so-call generation gap started in the 60s as I recall. "Never trust anyone over 30!" was the saying.

About 10 years ago we were at a hotel and met a family from Austria. We wound up inviting them to boat with us for the day. At the end we had dinner and discussed their impressions of their American vacation. The first thing they said is that they were so grateful to meet my husband because they thought all American dads were stupid and didn’t love their families and now they knew it was a lie. I never let my kids read Harry Potter & did other Moms & my childrens friends ridicule me! I was the weirdest, squarest Mom in the Ward & on the block! I don't regret it one bit! It was so easy to see through it all. Why can't people see it? The Overton window has been broken almost!

I learned on the gospel lessons channel that the witchcraft in scriptures refers more to drugs and substances that go against the word of wisdom, it’s worth looking into it! 😋 And TS uses the witch reference poetically to refer to the Salem witch trials to parallel having been accused of something she was innocent of, not because she’s was an actual witch lol

To be perfectly honest with you .when Harry Potter first came out and created this big sensation everywhere .kids wanted the book , parents stood in long queues to get an autograph of their famous new author .i couldn't see the reason for the hype, i remember watching the first movie to see what it was all about.and the first thing that came to my mind was like Boy! this is just witchcraft .and i didn't feel right about introducing my kids to such craziness .i never bought the books for them or the dvds when they first came out.while everywhere else my nieces were all into the stuff, buying goodness knows how many books.And believe it or not, i have friends who go absolutely obsessed still about the movie , if you say anything negative about the movie , they will go mad at you.

An eye opener for sure, we won't be watching Harry Potter or similar shows in our home again. These are hard things to hear, but do we want to embrace lies or truth?

Thank you, Hannah! This is so good! That last bit there toward the end seemed to border on the line of replacement theology, which I see what you're saying. That makes sense in a way, but I see it more as we are being adopted into the covenant. Even though the Jews are in somewhat of a fallen state, it seems abundantly clear to me that they are still the Covenant People of the Lord. One of my most recent favorite scriptures is 2 Ne 29:5, which is playing out in reality before the world's eyes: "O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenant people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people." ❤🇮🇱

And, relating, see how the First Presidency message in the March edition of the "Liahona" can relate to the primary focus of our church leaders to improve our relationship with the Saviour: as stated as the purposed goal in every preface of the series of the "Come, Follow Me" manuals.

And we-- the modern day church have for a great part-- have allowed "idol worship"( ie celebrity --both in sports and entertainment--worship, taking God out of publicly school education which has brought about an entire generation of youth and twenty-30 somethings who have no moral 0:02 foundation!! We rely so much on the arm of flesh. It's heartbreaking to see the decline.

Study Revelations, Ezekiel, Isaiah especially, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants. It focused on the Last Days.

"The majority will be destroyed, but the survivors will be those who repent and listen to the prophets." That is not what Isaiah tells us I am afraid. He tells us there will be a right hand of the Lord, a man like Moses, a servant who will come. This person will be from outside the church or any church, sent directly by the Lord. The parable or the supper tells us the first group the servant goes to, LDS and restoration believers, will make excuses due to Babylon, so the servant is sent to others, Israel and then the byways and hedges. The parable in Jacob of the Olive tree speaks of this same thing. I personally don't think we will recognize the servant so we will make excuses.

Hi this is Tom, the reason Nephi put Isaiah in the Book of Mormon is because Isaiah saw our day. When Nephi had the vision, He saw our day, but was forbidden to write about it. The Apostle John was foreordained to write about the last days. Hyrum Andrus explained it very well. Please teach about the Modern-day Assyrian, the little horn in the book of Revelation. 2 Nephi Ch 20 5- O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is their indignation. 6- I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. I (God) will send him (Assyrian) to a hypocritical nation (USA). Because God sent "him", nobody can or will stop him, unless we repent! The Book of Mormon paints a great picture of our days. It's like a haunted house, yes, it is scary the first time, but the fifth or sixth time it is not scary anymore, because you are prepared for it. That is what the Book of Mormon does, it prepares us what is coming and prophesied in our day. Remember Lott and his wife, they procrastinated leaving Sodom and Gamora when the Lord told them. Angles had to grab them by the arm and lead them out of the city. But being so close the city while it's destruction, they should have left when the Lord told them. They would have been farther away from temptation of looking back. In my mind, Lott's wife looked back because she was not ready, mentally and physically, to leave. That is why she looked back. The Book of Mormon prepares us what is coming. If we are surprised when these things happen, we are like Lott's wife, but if we are prepared, we can serve the Lord right away. Are we ready?

Wow. I never realized that Father's were so ubiquitously portrayed as morons but it's totally true.

I have a different view point on all of this. I do not believe in witchcraft. But, I enjoyed watching Charmed and reading Harry Potter. To me, they were simply fantasy, not portraying anything real. I do not believe they are harmful. I enjoy fantasy books. They are a fun read. Entertaining. But they are not something that I believe to be real, and I don't even consider trying to do what they do in the books.

I’m curious to what you think about the church celebrating Trunk or Treat- Halloween. In my view it’s one of those seemingly harmless things that sends the wrong message. Especially when there are other Christian faiths that are pushing against Halloween. Or singing the Stars Spangled Banner in sacrament meetings. Love America but read through the lyrics- it’s clearly not appropriate for church worship services. Our ward sings it religiously every July.

This is a great video, Hannah. I agree with everything except one thing. You should probably know That Elder Uchtdorf gave a talk in 2021 where he mentions many characters from fantasy books, including Hermione Granger and Harry Potter as heroes. The talk is called “you are the hero of your own story”. The church clearly doesn’t have a position about Harry Potter promoting the witchcraft that God warns us against or they wouldn’t use a talk about it in the Liahona and For The Strength of The Youth. I think anyone can take an interest too far and let it pull them away from God, but it doesn’t necessarily make that interest inherently evil. It’s fine if you don’t like HP, but I don’t think it’s right to disparage it on behalf of the church, its members, or God’s will. It’s how you feel and I know others feel that way too, but there are also many who don’t. People should be free to follow the dictates of their own conscious and not push it on others, especially when the church hasn’t even taken a position on it.

If Jesus built his Church and the Gates of Hell would not prevail against it (Matt 16), then why would it ever need to be 'restored'? Isaiah's warning to Latter-day Saints is Isaiah 43:10 'Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me'. Meaning, the mormon belief of a great counsel of multiple gods is simply false and why the LDS church is NOT the one (1) true Church of Jesus Christ. In fact, the LDS church is itself the 'great' falling away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.

And what is the meaning of the word repent every religion uses the same word but nobody tells you what does it mean according to the Bible😊

Someone talked about Harry Potter at the general conference. It bothered me because this is worldwide, and more importantly, GC is about Jesus Christ.

Isn't "witchcraft" a poor translation for drugs and pharmkia?

Didn't we just learn that we were to NOT put our trust in the arm of flesh? While I will respect a man who is called as a prophet, and will obey to the death ANY word that he speaks when he follows the direction that God has given about delivering a message, we need to be extremely wary of any doctrine that has NOT come in the proper way, EVEN IF THE LATTER-DAY MAN CALLED AS A PROPHET were to give it. This is the only way to avoid deception. Follow the prophet as he gives the actual word of God. When you don't know for sure, follow until you know how to discern between a man's opinions and when he speaks the word of the Lord, but don't fret when you find that not everything a man called says is the Word of God. And Isaiah is pretty harsh to the daughters of Zion. And a few of the prophets and apostles have made personal inappropriate comments over the pulpits of the church regarding "presidency in the home." that goes against the standard (the standard works). I don't condemn them for this, but I will not follow a philosophy unless it squares with scripture, or is given in the proper way by the proper authority (with the sign AND the token) and I verify that it comes from a true messenger speaking the actual Word of God. It really is that simple.

How can the Book of Mormon have Isaiahs's scriptures in it when the Book of Mormon happened in 600BC and Isaiah took place after the Book of Mormon in 714 BC. Makes no sense, Isaiah did not exist yet.
