This perspective is sorely needed. We have drifted so far from the concept of liberty being important to our faith that wards no longer recognize Memorial Day nor Independence Day in Sacrament meeting talks. Members are used to hearing the 'pleasing word of God' and are offended when it is implied that they have a direct responsibility to learn about and actually defend the Constitution.
You are absolutely correct. One would think of all the people the LDS woukd be the mightuest people in defense of our Constitution and GODS laws of this land!
Perfectly said!!! That’s why we were born in these latter days! We honor the ones they fought before us! We did it before, we fought a good fight in Heaven and we’ll do it again and forever more. Every time our liberties and freedom to chose what’s right is jeopardized I’ll defend it.
Too bad we have so many members of the church that misinterpret President Nelson’s peacemaker talk and equate it to passivity. KIND COURAGE is needed more than ever. Thanks Hannah.
Thank you Hannah for your fire! You are living up to your covenanter heritage. I prayed last night to ask Heavenly Father for an answer to share with my non-LDS friend about how repenting and striving to keep God's commandments is the key to true freedom, the role of the Book of Mormon, the Judeo-Christ-founded Constitution. Then I woke at 3am and saw you had just posted this clip. Its 5.15am. I've been clipping like mad! 😅 Im not sure what I'll share. Maybe the whole link as you've made too many amazing points to choose from. Your personal testimony of the cause of Christians is powerful! The account of Moroni and the title of liberty was a great reminder and feels so relevant to me, as a member of this Gospel and descendant of Ephraim/Joseph.
Remember. That is a keyword given by God to His people from time to time throughout the world. People do it through ceremonies and celebrations, others make covenants or promises and teach principles of integrity and self-respect. All have a keen sense of Justice as they experience suppression and enslavement or imprisonment at the hands of others. Wise men learn from the mistakes of others found in history and family. When men call upon God, He answers, warning them of dangers about them and what they must do to be safe and secure. Today we have over 5,000 years of recorded history and promises God made to our forefathers to learn from. Thank you so much for helping our younger generation come to know in whom they can trust. The scriptural records are true and must be searched.
Thank you for the great video. Thank you for sharing this with everyone and for sharing your testimony. This is a great message of hope in such a troubled world. We need to do more, exercise our faith in God and Jesus Christ, and hold to the liberties we have been blessed with in our Country. We need to come together with other Christians and fight against the evils of the world that are so prevalent. We need to put our trust in God and Jesus Christ and know that as we do, we will win the fight.

I have been praying for a long time as to what is my part. All I know is that I am in place, in the correct ward and stake, as priesthood authority has informed me. For what? I don't yet know. But I am in place.

Moroni was able to call on the people, who had their armor and swords in their own homes. This is the militia: every able bodied man possessing his own arms and ready at a moments notice to be called forth for the defense of his family, community and nation. There was no standing army. This is the original intent of our Constitution.
It's because of an Eternal line of Liberty/Freedom honoring Children of God that we currently have Our time to do the same! Just let that Eternal Line really sink in!

Hola Hannah- will you please share your thoughts/feelings on Lamanites in LATIN AMERICA? Specifically, Mexico 🇲🇽. I am very interested in your thoughts. I have been listening to your podcasts/documentaries for over a year and I have seen that your studies, examples of exemplars are all Anglo Saxon/Eastern Europeans. Today was a good example of what prompted me to ask my question. I am from Mexico 🇲🇽 and as an immigrant I KNOW I KNOW more about world history, governments and geography than my peers/ friends here (I am an AP, RN). Since I joined the Church in 1975, I was/have been told that I was “just a Lamanites convert,” “sin to intermarry”, “marry within your culture,” “you have NO PIONEER BLOOD” -, always a second hand citizen, member, etc., etc. If I did not know that The BOM is true and that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God I would have never gotten baptized, served a mission, etc. I have never understood how members can say they have a testimony of the BOM and be so prejudiced against the people it is about/preserved for primarily. (My family Re-immigrated to El Paso, Texas & my ward had many members from the Mormon Colonies-Romney’s, Redds, Eyrings, Pratt’s, Taylor’s, Hatch, Call, Browns...) We are commanded in the D&C to learn other languages AND CULTURES, but I NEVER HAVE HEARD anyone TEACH members about the role Mexico has played in the Restoration of the Gospel. No one teaches that the pioneers were LEAVING THE U.S. and MOVING TO MEXICAN TERRITORY (see your maps in triple combination). This had to be as it was revealed to the Prophet Joseph bc the U. S. government never protected the Saints or their right to worship but instead persecuted them. Colonists were sent to establish colonies from Utah to Mexico City, hence why the Church owns so much land in Mexico. This came in very handy in 1890 when Utah wanted to become a state and the polygamist families needed a place to flee & hide. They fled & hid in the Mormon Colonies in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico (only three “colonies” cities are left: Colonia Casasgrandes, Colonia Dublin, Colonia Juarez). You do much to educate members about the Reformation, Revolution, etc., I know you could teach them much about Mexico, increasing respect, gratitude & love for Mexico/MexiCans. I've come to the same conclusion many times and sooner or later would talk about this same thing and as soon as I did I would be told oh you worry too much just do something else and forget about all that alma chapter 29 stuff and american history stuff. They have the right to their opinion but that is the choice of those who go that direction. It's true that the Lord is an almighty being and doesn't need defended but the way I see it is it comes down to choices. Sure we may have neighbors who don't care or even try to destroy our choices but that is their choice. Covenants come down to choices and that's life. The choice you are talking about making at 18 was a good choice. From here on we've got the choices we can make, each other, and the Savior
One of the arguments I run up against regularly from liberal, secular friends and acquaintances, used to justify removing God from our government and culture, is the notion of “separation of church and state.” What can we do to counter this argument?
😂😅 Hannah doesn't need a man, she's married to the cause of Christ; much like John the Revelator and the 3 Nephites! The scriptures only say that it is not good for man to be alone. Nowhere does it say that about women. And, with the power and conviction that she teaches with she is definitely not alone. If Hannah Stoddard doesn't get Twinkled/Transfigured I don't know that I'll ever stand a chance. Thankfully I'm not the judge. 😇
How tall was James Guthrie for you said he was short? I’m a descendent of Davy Crocket and I met my great grandmother Crockett in Fallon Nevada when she was 90 years old and Davy was my height of 5’6. A friend I told of my heritage lived in San Antonio Texas and said he was short like me.
Yes! So many good points. Diving into the book of Mormon caused me to become very interested in politics and our freedom, as well. I love cleon skousens books on the 5,000 year leap, and the naked communist among others. I too noticed that we no longer teach these principles, and many in society even teach against our foundation. I try talking to other members and non members alike, and it seems to fall on deaf ears. Its taboo and/or boring. You cant even say much of this at church. We have members in our ward who have praised communism or communist countries. Makes me sick. I told my kids the book of Mormon is very political and teaches us so many aspects of the freedom that we need not only to live the gospel, but to share and spread the gospel. Unfortunately many members see no connection and seem to be actively fighting against their own rights. One day my youngest who is 11 asked why we need guns. (They watch cnn everyday at school...) So i asked him why Nephi took the scriptures and labans sword with him to their new home. Essentially the 1st and 2nd amendments, and why they are so important. The 2nd is to protect the 1st, and the gospel cant be lived or spread without the 1st. Ugh. These arey two favorite topics and i cant talk to anyone about them, so this channel is a real treat for me. Id love to get together and talk about it all. Go watch Agenda: Grinding America down. You sound like me. I find the same issues with lds, yet my neighbors whi are not kds, discern these things? This is a very serious problem within the church today and has been for msny yrs now.
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. Your great, just please do not let your compassion be too overwhelming or you may allow the wrong types of people into America who actually are not believers yet cry for the same compassion. Marxismo thrives on Christian compassion. We must be stoic in our approach.
I respect the position of liberty but the main source of percecution of heroes mentioned were not communist but in fact other christians who believed that any other version of christianity than their own was a threat to be eliminated. The book of Mormon teaches us a christians to be loving and tolerant to nonbelievers. Joseph Smith had a very clear understanding of this when he wrote the very inspired section 134 claiming that religious institutions should not exercise civil authority. I do not see communism as the biggest threat to the freedom of righteous people but rather a complacency and indifferens to the word of God. And I must admit I found it a bit amusing labeling the wicked Ammalekiah as a communist. But then again I do not live in the USA.
