Like everyone else we have had a LOT this year. Earthquake, wind blowing our roof off, husband in the hospital with a stroke, our house and car vandalized, Yikes! I felt like I was breaking under the load, until today. The idea that the things we have been through can help us serve others in a myriad of situations helps me to put things back into an eternal perspective. If these things have happened so we can reach out and serve others, because we understand, then so be it! There is no better "recommendation" than serving God's children. Thank you for helping me so much this morning. I feel so much lighter. God bless!

When you spoke of breathing Hope, a friend at work came to mind. She lost her 21 year old daughter in January, her only child. It has very nearly destroyed her. I felt this, that she needs Hope. Now I have to figure out how to give her Hope. But I know I must try.

I enjoyed the personal experience you shared while serving as Bishop. I came to the same understanding that my role was not to carry the burden but to “breathe hope”. Thanks for your weekly lessons!

At 5:30 when David reminds us that we can be identified as “Jesus people” by how we act and how we treat others... refers back to last weeks lesson of “taking His name upon us.”

So KSL nightly news just said that the "darkness days of covid are ahead of us".... so grateful that we all have a LIGHT for these "darkness days ahead"! So grateful that we can reflect, shine forth, and share this LIGHT throughout the world with "Light the World "!!!

Ever seen the movie Klaus on Netflix? You know that part where Klaus says, a true selfless act always sparks another? And you see it in the movie gradually, rippling from person to person. At the end the postman says it to Klaus and he looks at him and replies, every time. That reminded me of the scripture charity never faileth. It never fails. It works every time. Through their acts of good will they managed to turn a feuding miserable people into a loving and joyful community. And I know it’s just a story. But It was one that echoed great truth from the scriptures and I just loved it. This lesson was so good and much needed for me. Thank you for your time and willingness to teach in this way. Not everyone wants to be all over the internet in this way but I’m so grateful you are willing to. I learn so many great things. 👌🏻🙏

Thank you of your kind reminder that a Bishop is not there to solve our problems. Thank you also for the story of the woman on the airplane, although you told it before it's a wonderful story. Yes those hard times prepare us to help others.

3:40 now it's your turn. we are called right now to be part of ministry. 6:35 feel god's life. Feel his love, 8:24 God knows all things. Spread faith. 11:31 hope and encouragement. 13:17 charity never fails.

David quoted a former bishop "I don't know why you are trying to carry a burden that is not yours to carry. It's not your job to fix their problem. That is Jesus'. Your job is to breathe hope into the situation." I love this quote, and it leads me to a question. How do you help a struggling child (teenager) to look more effectively to Jesus to help them fix their problem(s)? My daughter's problems are extremely difficult, and very real. I think her problems make it even harder to look to Jesus.

I loved it when David talked about when he was a bishop there was this conference talk I don't remember who it was from but there was this quote it said your job isn't to convert people thats the holy ghost job your job is to be an example I really needed that at the time I felt I wasn't doing enough and I heard that and that was an answer to my prayers when I heard that I new I was doing enough
