Measuring by time reminded me of when my brother-in-law was hunting in Alaska with a guide and when the guide spotted a bear, they were told how much time they had to get to their boat. “We have 20 seconds” would be more helpful than “a bear is coming” without any idea of where they were or how much time they had to get to safety. Makes me thankful for our prophet. He had told us that time is running out. It’s time to get to safety.

When you were talking about focused and 'quality' listening, it inspired me to pause your podcast and gently propose to my entire family that we all place our phones in an basket at our Thanksgiving gathering this year, so we can strengthen our relationships. Eye to eye conversation feeds our souls, as well as Thanksgiving dinner fills our bellies! Thank you for being a catalyst of personal revelation for myself, and no doubt so many other individuals.

When my daughter was in Seminary (in the 90s) she was the first in our family to get a quadruple combination. She got a small edition and my middle-aged eyes could not read it and I couldn't find the books because they were no longer in the place they were before. I complained about it and asked why would I want a quad? She immediately quoted Ezekiel 37:16-17 from memory. I love nothing better than being called to repentance by a righteous child! And this is the tool we use to for the gathering

Huh, I just stop the video and go back to the quote and stop and start it til I have it written down. Man, am I old, or what? Prolly stems from when I used to rewind my cassette tapes so I could learn the words to my favorite song on the album. 😉

I love that you brought up the Idaho Falls temple to picture as we study Ezekiel. I was born, raised, and currently living in Idaho Falls. Thank you for this insight that I never thought of before. Every time I see the temple next to the snake river, I will think of the living waters.

Please please make the word a week posters smaller. They are just too big for some of our homes.

This lesson was so good! I was married in the Idaho Falls temple 35 years ago and I get to drive by it everyday to and from work. You can see it bouncing in the light off the water and it is so amazing during every season! Thank you for teaching me! I have learned so much!

When you were talking about Ezekiel's call and likening it to us being called and Dave said, "you may be in your living room surrounded by laundry.." That is exactly what I was doing while listening. In my living room, surrounded by laundry. I laughed so hard!

The old Sinbad movie made in the 50’s or 60’s showed a scene of all the dry bones coming together. It was very well done for it’s time. I always picture that movie scene when I read Ezekiel.

I have a picture in my head that combines Carl and the measuring tape :) As we immerse ourselves in the living water that flows from the temple, our bodies, spirits and lives are renewed and made whole, or complete (or even perfected) :)

I also thought the river of water as cleansing. Jesus Christ gives living water. The river is moving, then I liked your comments re immersion in the water, partial immersion vs complete immersion in the living water offered to us by Christ.

I love watching you guys. As a side note, "third-world country" is outdated and offensive. Do you still refer to Russia as USSR? If no, you can stop saying, "third-world country." "Third-world country" was used during WW2 to refer to the countries that had nothing to do with the war. First-World countries were the Allies. Second-World countries were those against the allies. Third-world country was the rest of the world. Another word you could use instead is "developing countries."

We love your weekly lessons, but get really tired of listening to 10-20 minutes of commercials trying to sell all your extra stuff before the lessons actually start. Do you think you can shorten the commercials to just a couple of minutes? Those of us who listen/watch every week know you’ve got the extra tools. A short reminder would be much better than a complete description every single week.
