What an a sweet thing to say! Thank you so much! We are very proud of him! ❤️ We have always been so close, always taking trips together that it’s gonna be hard for me (his momma) when he leaves the nest 🥹🥹 But we will encourage and support him 100% !!
Aiden has gotten so tall and he is such a cute young man! From watching your videos, it seems he has really grown fast the past year. I loved watching your video. I have only been on three cruises (all Carnival) but watching your video makes me want to go on another cruise. I am hoping to celebrate my 75th birthday on a cruise next year. Thanks again for sharing your videos. Marty B. from Dallas, Texas
Watching you guys twirl your dinner napkins reminded me of doing the same thing on my first cruise (Alaska cruise); brought back some fun memories. 🤗 Second, that strawberry chia pudding looked "soupy". 😬 How was it? 😅 Thirdly, that aft pool looked like my worst nightmare. 🤣🤣🤣 Finally, nice comeback on Dancing Drums and the piano show was playing all the hits. 🎶💚 On to the next! 🤗 -2cent
The servers during dinner are definitely engaging! Our server was really fun; one of the best parts of the cruise. Yea the chia pudding could’ve been better. ALL of the pools were always so packed so we avoided them and spent more time in the casino. Lol!
We agree that you have to be careful. We didn’t love cruising with Carnival but enjoyed the family time! But Disney Cruising is definitely top notch!! You should try it ☺️
It’s true. We weren’t too impressed with Carnival but it was also a smaller, older ship. We hear the bigger ones are better. But they definitely catered to the casino guests! That was probably the best thing about that ship! I would recommend Royal, heard they are better and still have great casinos. Of course, we highly recommend Disney cruise line for service, shows, food quality, and amazing ports! Just no casino.
They really are fun! Not sure we would recommend this ship as the food quality was poor and the staff was hit or miss with service and kindness. But if you are a gambler, I see why you would do carnival. They take care of their casino guests!
YAY! I love Vegas and I LOVE cruises and I LOVE your vlogs 😍 just left Vegas and kept my eye open for ya’ll and the other vloggers I follow and didn’t see anyone 😢 maybe next time! Ya’ll have really made my recent trip a 1000/10 ♥️ appreciate all you do. xoxo
Oh wow this made me miss cruising (BC …before children 😅) we’ve done carnival and RC and we definitely liked RC better . I do have a soft spot for Carnival because that our first cruise , it was our honeymoon and we won a cruise with a balcony stateroom on that trip. Planning on taking a Mediterranean cruise when my daughter graduates…3 more years 😅 Mahalo for sharing 🤙🏽
We’ve heard great things about RC and will definitely try one out in the future. Having a room with a balcony makes all the difference on a cruise! Our favorite cruise line so far is Disney. Their service is just above all the rest (that we’ve experienced to date) and is a magical experience. Stayed tuned, you might see another DCL vlog soon! 3 more years sounds like a long time, but will go by quick!
Thanks Trey! Definitely check out our part 2 as there is more about our thoughts about this cruise ship! Can’t say we would recommend this ship, but highly recommend cruising in general!
Congrats on your first Carnival cruise. 🚢 sorry to hear your check in process was unorganized. It looked very chaotic. We had our first ever cruise to Mexico on the Carnival Panorama August 2022 from Long Beach. From what I remembered it was very organized. Carnival cruises can get pretty crowded. Angelo and I will be going to Alaska on the crown princess at the end of the month😊. We can’t wait! Love your videos. Enjoy your time with your beautiful family.
Hey, guys! Yes, the check in process was definitely chaotic, but calmed down once we finally got to the ship terminal. We heard some frequent cruisers on that ship say how it was way more packed than normal - maybe because it was 4th of July?? Please tell us how your Alaskan cruise was! That is definitely a bucket list item for us for sure! Cheers, guys! ❤️
Eh, some places definitely better than others. The Guy Fieri burger and barbecue places were the best food on the ship but only open from 12-2 everyday with long lines 🤷♀️😆
Morning Been on a cruise out of Galveston years ago they didn't have a proper check in think it was an old warehouse. Looks like fun time with family certainly not Vegas! We live in Long Beach so plenty of cruise ships 🚢 not my thing though! Thanks for sharing
My husband and I love cruising. We've got one coming up in October out of Port Canaveral with 4 other couples. Should be a blast. Then, next April we'll sail out of Galveston on the Carnival Dream. Neither of us have been to Galveston but, we're looking forward to it. I'm surprised you've sailed on Disney! They don't have casinos, right? I'm a casino girl at heart, hence watching your videos. I can't imagine a cruise with no casino! On the Carnival ships I highly recommend booking in the Havana area. It's a bit more expensive but, generally you'll be sharing the Havana pool and hot tubs with only 3 or 4 other people a time. And no kids under 16 or 18. It seems the kids take over the hot tubs on the Lido deck pretty regularly. I'm sure you enjoyed yourselves. Will you do another Carnival, ya think? Thank you for sharing. I always enjoy watching you guys.
Great info about the Havana area! Wish we would have done that because the pool areas were packed. We would not do this ship again but maybe one of their newer, bigger ships in the future. And yes, Disney cruise line is awesome! Yes no gambling but we get our degen fix with bingo! lol But the food quality, service, shows, and cleanliness are touch notch!
Hi D&S - So, trying a different cruise line? What made you make the change? It was a decent room. Aiden is getting tall! What was the passenger capacity on the cruise? It doesn't seem to be one of the new "mega-ships." Are the drinks free in the casino? Glad you had some decent hits in the casino. Food looks okay (not Disney, but still decent). Cheers!!😎🍻
Definitely not Disney. lol We had planned it a year ago for Dave’s brothers 50th and so it was a big group of us. It was fun but the ship was definitely dated and the food was not the best. The casino, however, was nice and we did have some decent wins! (They took it all back tho 😆) The drinks aren’t free but if you get to 1000 points, you get free drinks on them for the rest of the cruise. Guess who hit that pretty quickly 😂 We more than likely will not do Carnaval again. We still think DCL is the best, but might try RC or NCL at some point. Cheers guys! 🥂
Would Aiden like to have a brother? I seriously want you guys to adopt me. 😂 It looks like a fun start to your cruise with family. But what's up with the no drink package? 😱 LOL! Enjoyed it as always.
lol! He probably would love a brother but then we couldn’t take all these trips! 😆 Funny thing about the drink package, glad we didn’t buy it because once you got enough points in the casino, you get free drinks for the rest of the trip! Guess who hit that pretty quickly 😆
I love Carnival but the food is not the best. I love Celebrity's food. We are going on Sept. 2 on Royal Caribbean to Alaska. I am looking forward to comparing because I have travelled more on Carnival. It is the perks I get from the casino. Being in Canada, it makes it more expensive to cruise because if I want to go to the Caribbean, we have to fly to Miami or Orlando and living on the West Coast it is a long haul. If I want to pay a lot for airlines then going out of Seattle is an option with less flying time. Looking forward to your next vlog. Hope you had a fantastic time with your family. Making memories is what it is all about.
Agree with the assessment of food on Carnival. With the exception of Guy Fieri restaurants, the food was just mediocre. Celebrity and RC seem to be the way to go in the future. We’re also big fans of Disney Cruise Line. We know it’s not for everyone, but they definitely have a way of taking care of adults on the cruise - and the food is terrific! You have to let us know how the Alaskan cruise was - that is a bucket list item for us!
Carnival Breeze! I've been on her and the Dream several times. Great ship but the Carnival food is very poor. I do like the BBQ, burgers and pizza though. Did you notice that much of the food in the buffet is the same as the dining room? I mostly stick with NCL now, and I don't cruise in the summer or major holidays. Hope no one got sick. Lots of C going around now.
Totally agree with you about the buffet food. Not good at all. We never went back after the first day. But the dining room food was decent (some things). The burgers, barbecue, and tacos on the pool deck area were very good! (But this places are only open from 12-2 everyday). Our son got sick on the ship and Dave didn’t feel in good one day. But other than that, it was fun! We had a good time with family. And we were surprised with the casino! We didn’t buy the drink package but got free drinks after day 2 when we reached a certain point level 😆
No, we really should have! We had a travel agent book it since we were a big party for a family members birthday. But we saw that we can do that next time and thinking about doing it when we try Royal!
lol, depending on the size of your party, you might sit with strangers. I know you can request a private table if they are available. But both times on our Disney Cruises, we sat at our own table (just the 3 of us)!
I enjoy watching 🚢 videos, but they are TOO crowded, I enjoy my space 🤣😂 and all the extra charges ,WiFi- Drink package, high end restaurant - have mercy. I rather do a Mexico all inclusive or Hawaii ❤. Family vacays are the BEST🥂🥂 Oh I also heard if you earn enough points in the casino you can earn a FREE cruise.
The casino definitely caters to the gambler. We earned free drinks for the entire trip on day 2 after reaching a certain point amount. So glad we didn’t buy the drink package! So, I can see that it can get you good deals towards more cruises!
