What a fun packed day no big wins or jackpots but you got to spend time with some great people and you cant put a price on that! LPM looked great, the Tomatini is definitely on the list for the next trip! Looking forward to the next one.
Pro tip: happy hour in the bar / lounge area at LPM is the best food deal in Vegas. High quality food for a very fair price as well and discounted high end cocktails
Agree 100%! Cocktail hour is a great way to enjoy small bites and delicious cocktails at discounted prices in the Cosmo! One of our faves at this resort!!
I missed you guys by a day. I saw 2 cent at baggage claim. I love that you guys go get cashew lattes at Cosmo. I’ve been getting coffee there for years and I just love it. I hope they don’t take it out. Rio is not to bad. I especially like it on busy holiday weekends when they give me a comp. Fun day.
Cin!!! ❤️ Looking forward to connecting one of these days! Agreed, the Juice Standard is one of our faves for coffee, juice, and smoothies! If it is removed, we should revolt!!!! Yes! Can't beat a comp room at the Rio; especially during busy weekends!
Awww ... good times! 💚🎰 It was so awesome to have finally made it happen: meeting y'all in person. 🤗 That slot pull lasted a while, which was perfect for degening and hanging out. 💚 Sooooo, looking forward to the next meet up! 😉 2cent.
Yes! Couldn't agree more ❤️! We're thankful our trips magically lined up and are looking forward to completing the circle with handpay hog in tow too! Love you guys!!
Hey, Don and Heather! ❤️ Agreed, always tough watching Vegas vlogs as they make you want to be part of the action - but glad they help pass the time until the next trip! Yea, Rio just isn't our thing. We know they're still finding their identity, but for now we'll stay on strip. 😉 Cheers, guys! 🥂
Loved the Majestic Lions reference with Casey at MGM … I’ve been chasing that damn jackpot since 1998🤣🤣🤘🤘. Casey and I have grand plans to double team it !! We just met Jessica and Jesse last weekend …. I know exactly what you’re saying about them being y’all people. We adored them 💜💜💜. Dave seemed like he couldn’t get out of Rio fast enough…. Cmon Bougie Dave!!! 😎. Good to see 2cent out in the wild 🤘🤘. Sweet Lucky Chance action !! Kandi once turned $.18 into 250 bucks . on one of those !! 🤑. I am enjoying end of night y’all …. Glasses Dave for the win 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓. See ya on Day 3 👀👀
lol! It was a great day filled with hanging out with some amazing peeps! End of day us is scary! lol We have to remember to close the vlog earlier!! 😂 Miss you guys ❤️
What a great full day!!!!!!! Happy Belated Birthday Dave! Super fun vlog and as usual thanks for sharing! My Vegas trip is coming up. 10/21-10/30. You guys have me super excited now! Thanks for what you do. It really is very much appreciated.
Hey, Eric! That is closing in! We hope you have a blast and win BIG on this trip. Try that Tiger and Dragon machine - it paid us out the most this trip and we played it at multiple casinos!
Thank you for another great video. Definitely LPM on our list for our next trip …I was drooling and that drink tomatini sounds like my kind of of drink ! Cheers from M and S 🥂🇨🇦
I feel like the brunch should include mimosas 🤷🏽♀️ I don’t know what the Rio rooms looked liked before, but I’m digging the new rooms. Glad you enjoyed your Birthday Vegas trip 🎈 🎂 🎉 🥳
Tomatina is on the hit list for next trip. Awesome you guys met up with 2cent. Hopefully the whole podcast gang meets up soon. Q: What about the Rio made you not want to stay there? We have a weekend trip planned for Dec. 😬🥺
Dr. Retrigger! Yes, we will have a meet up event the first week of November at Excalibur! Should be a blast! There is nothing wrong with the Rio. The rooms were spacious and nice, the casino offers a good selection of games, and the food hall has good options. For us, it felt like it is still trying to find its identity. Plus, we get fomo from being off-strip when we're that close to the stip. GVR or Red Rock are different because they're standalone casinos. Please let us know how your trip goes in December. Maybe we're just missing something since we were there for such a short time...
Thanks ! Another great vlog, LPM brunch looked amazing.. another spot for next trip (even having to cut the tomato) hehe.. The Rio looks a bit sad, I also remember what it used to be like, was fun ! Dave could not get out of there fast enough.. lol.
In it's glory days the Rio was so much fun! The first time we went we actually walked from Ceasars Palace to the Rio not knowing there was a shuttle that would take you! lol! Ahh..the good ole' days!
Like I said on Instagram, that Tomatini is INCREDIBLE. I’m not a Bloody Mary person and was expecting it to be similar but it’s not. One of the best drinks I’ve ever had. 🍅🍸
Everything at LPM looked amazing, I am very keen to try that Tomatini. Can you just get drinks at the bar? I can’t wait to have another Pistachio Martini at Gem bar. Frenchie wasn’t working when I was there in February but someone else made the Pistachio martini for us. But I need to meet the famous Frenchie. And have a Martini with Y’All. So nice to see 2Cent make a cameo.
@@huntingvegas my pleasure. Me and my buddies love LPM. Their shrimp skewers, meat skewers and Calimari on the happy hour menu is the best food for dollar in Vegas. And old fashioneds and Tomatinis for 10 bucks during happy hour you can’t go wrong
Hey, R&N! Highly recommend the tomatini from LPM as well as the brunch menu too! @gzoppi3877 is right - the Cocktail hour at Cosmo from 5-7 gives you a chance to enjoy premium cocktails and bar bites for a discounted price. We tried a couple restaurants a few trips ago during cocktail hour and it was glorious! Pistachio martinis are fantastic, but the way Frenchy concocts them is bar none the best! Gotta be at Gem bar by 10 when he arrives or its tough to grab a seat!
I’ve seen this random whole tomato thing every time people eat here and it never ceases to confuse me. I would just tell them to take the tomatoes back lol, I’m not in charge of making the meal.
2:00 Same for us at Cosmo sportsbook........we only put in $20 each but played VP at 1.25 a press at a good rate for the entire first quarter of a NFL game and the light never turned green ( we could see the red light reflection from our machines off glasses on the bar). The bartender comped me a few drinks but I was drinking ULtra on tap. Also at the center bar at Planet Hollywood ( recently remodeled) the bartender told us they no longer comp drinks while playing VP off the drink menu, just basic drinks, beers,ec. ...............Combine that with 20 plus spin bonuses paying under $10 and Vegas sure is changing and not for the better. We may just start following the lead of others and make big drinks in our room. A bucket of Ultra at the Paris pool was over $80 before tip but at least we are using the pool.................oh wait that was part of the resort fee most pay............at least we are Diamond, lol
Yeah, being Diamond does help because they are only catering to higher tier levels it looks like. Even for fugi waters at the Bellagio, they had to make sure we were at least Gold. Drinks in the room is sounding pretty good! 😊
Yum LPM looks delicious. We stayed end of August for our free cruise voucher, very short trip not bad rooms are nice & big & we love the pools. Pretty good play credits on slots for future Frio play. Nice walk to the Palms to use free play & food. Thanks for sharing will be in vegas in December for Keno Nation Krismas good luck !
OMG, that was hilarious what Dave said about Drybar because I was thinking that his hair had grown enough for a blowout. 😂 LPM looked amazing! I'm not sure I could handle that much food midday, though. And I agree with Dave, no way would I stay at Rio when I have a room at Cosmo. Not trying to diss Rio, but.....
Lol! Dave should have setup an appointment too. Maybe I can convince him next trip! LPM is amazing and worth the price, but you're right..it was a lot of food. Rio rooms were nice, but it's not our thing. Plus we get fomo being that far off-strip. lol!
I promise it is not what you think. It is light and refreshing and slightly sweet. It is not tomato forward and that's one of the last things you taste with this drink. Go during cocktail hour fro 5-7 to get discounted drink prices at all of their restaurants - quick bites too which we enjoyed!
We stayed in Rio one night earlier this yr before moving to our longer stay hotel. Rio's rm was very nice, but location is far from the strip. I so hear u about being degens. Lol. I have a hard time walking away, even if up.
It was so great to meet y'all (finally) and hang out in paradise for a little while - and thanks so much for lunch! (and the shout out, of course - it's an honor 😁)
10:58 you never got billed for the Expresso Martini so add another $17 plus tax to that bill 19:36........nice but I only pay $300 for breakfast if I'm using my Wyndham points converted to CET reward credits, lol
We were talking about it with the server and ordered the tomatini and Riviera Blanc. The espresso martini was complimentary. Brunch at LPM was totally worth it!!
@@DaverrasonTravels Comp drinks at VEgas restaurants ? Sounds like the bartenders who worked for me when I owned my bar............of course at local bars comp drinks for regulars is part of doing business and was fine by me................within reason, lol
LPM looked awesome, not sure I could eat all that food but I’d deffo have a bash at those happy hour cocktails 🙌🏼🍹. So cool you got to meet 2cent! Did you get any side-eye off her, or is that just me that gets that? 👀. Anyway, as I’m still under my NDA, 34:43 I concur that 2cents driving is absolutely fine and probably one of the best drivers I’ve ever encountered 😘
LOL! I think the side eye is reserved especially for you 😜 It was so amazing spending time with her! We had the best time degenning. lol Looking forward to hanging out with you soon 😉
Hey you two! Enjoy your travels! But you have to remember that a lot of people stay at those mid tier casinos like Rio. So passing judgment with no real review is disheartening.
Not passing judgement at all. I think we were expecting to experience what the Rio was in its prime and it’s not there yet. It’s still a work in progress and they’re still trying to find their identity (we hope they do), but it wasn’t something for us. Mid-tier wise there is better value on the strip (Harrahs, Linq, Flamingo, Excalibur, Luxor, etc.) and you would be better playing at those properties to earn comps and be closer to the action. For what it’s worth the rooms are spacious and look great. The casino still needs some love. We do hope it finds its way and returns to, or comes close, to its glory days.
@@DaverrasonTravelsthanks for your reply and I totally get where you are coming from. I’ve been fortunate the past 15 or so years to stay at higher end properties, but my Vegas adventures definitely started at low end properties. So still get a little defensive of the low to mid tier. Thanks again for taking us along! Cheers 🥂
Yes, we started off at the Riviera and original Sahara so we totally get it! We have such amazing memories there! And we truly used to love the Rio! At one point, it was a favorite casino for us. We even remember the servers call us by name and bring my brother a complimentary cigar! Man, I miss old Vegas! Cheers and appreciate you watching our videos and for your support!
