It would be interesting to see if the water temperature at 40-50' deep changes as much as the surface temps.

@mickaburkhart14 17 дней назад
@@faronmastin8683 well I know it changes a little bit but not as extreme as the surface temp. But it does shift the bait up or down, in or out depending on the location. Course that drives the position of the fish. Well in my head that makes sense 😆

Well Done Micka. After good rains in the summer, I have had success fishing creek mouths, but have not seen them actually moving up depth, but not that I could try this year. Still no rain over here, keeps missing E TN. :( We have had 2 days of rain (less than 45 minutes) since June 1st. Zero fish on the move, bait scattered and deep. I will say that the Catfish are very concentrated here with no flow. Recently started re-dragging spots 2 and 3 times where I hook up - and catch again in the same spots on the same trip with double ups. July 4th weekend brings out the worst boaters, almost got my planer boards cut off several times on yesterday's charter. They probably would not like getting 60lb braid in their prop.

Looked like a good day out man. I got skunked last outing. I need to learn to throw a net for shad and how to locate white bass or something else for bait. I have some frozen skipjack leftover from January when I filled my freezer. Just haven't had much luck with it.

@@mickaburkhart14 Have you used any bluegills in your videos? Definitely curious on your approach with em. I've seen people hook them differently before, and seems to be some conflicting opinions on where is best to hook them for best hook up ratio and to keep the gills a little feisty after dropping em. Would be cool to see how you use em, since a lot of us probably don't/can't throw a cast net to catch shad well. Something I'm going to start practicing for sure though. Thanks as always!
