There is a London personality by the name of Trinny that does this as well and it is SO helpful when thinking of intentional shopping and outfit ideas. Please consider making this a regular segment!

Jenee, I think one of the things I like most about this video, is your price consciousness. I know that you have worn some of the most expensive pieces of clothing, but you are still checking prices on items that you could easily afford. Its a good lesson for all of us. Spend the money on quality

This is an excellent video. I think people really need to be taught/coached into shopping like this. We need to know our bodies, the colors that work, the cuts the fit our silhouette…This was a breath of fresh air. This video was such a departure from the buy everything attitude of most influencers. You have definitely cracked the code! It’s not about how much money you spend on things. It’s understanding your body silhouette, wearing colors that flatter your color undertones and the overall fit. Spend the money on Alterations!!!! I would like to hear more about the Alterations aspect of your style

More of these kinds of videos! I’m a known “occasion” shopper and I also fall for the the trap of buying things that I find cute without considering if it works for my body type. Need to dress for the body I have vs the body I want! This really challenged me to shop differently and consider how every piece fits and learning what works. Going to try this out the next time I shop! Tashira has me checking fabrics and now I’ll be mindful of fit and colors 🤗 Also s/o to Maya for this idea!

I love this kind of video! I like seeing the thought process of how you shop. It is very helpful to understand that, just because you think something is cute doesn’t mean that you should buy it and it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be flattering on. I love how you emphasize that understanding ones personal aesthetic, silhouette, color schemes and fabric preference is paramount. The feel, details, and weight of the fabrics is the key. I predominantly wear flats but from watching this video I will now pay closer attention to the straps and the support I used to think that flats automatically translated into comfort, but I have learned the hard way that it doesn’t.

I’m glad to hear you don’t purchase things just because they’re cute. I do that all of the time! When I get back home, I’m upset because I didn’t get anything I was looking for and I end up with a lot of hodgepodge clothing I don’t need. If you can refrain from compulsive shopping, surely I can. Great video, I think the lesson is everyone needs to know what looks good on their body type, what flatters and what just is a trend that may not be for you. Example, most people look better in v neck T shirts. Loved it!!

This is such a helpful video. I tend to buy because I like and if the price is right that makes it a must. Ugh! That leads to me having lots of items with tags on them in my closet. For example I purchased lots of crochet that I see me wearing for a future cruise. There are two problems with that. One is I don’t have a cruise planned. Second I don’t like how they lay on me without making much effort. They’re super cute but I don’t feel super cute in them. I must do better and shop with more intention to fill gaps and less feeling or trendy. Thanks for suggesting this series Mya and Jenee thanks for sharing.

I just purchased a gang of clothes from H&M, and after watching this video, I need to rethink each piece. Since I've gained weight, I am trying to redefine my wardrobe, and I keep reaching for pieces that no longer work for my body, and I need to stop. I also need to stop forcing myself into certain colors just because I feel like my closet needs more color. If it's not my style, it just isn't my style. I need to stick to pieces that compliment me, pieces that I feel confident in, and think about cost per wear. And just because it's cute doesn't mean I have to buy it. Jenee, that was an entire speech, lol! You've given me a lot to think about that will contribute to a better shopping experience. I appreciate this video and would like to see more.
