I LOVE how your district/school places so much importance on the Arts! As a future music teacher, this makes me happy to see that there are schools out there that understand that the Arts are an important part of the education of our students.

I don't mean to dampen the comment, but my school doesn't care about the performing arts, and we don't have a stage or equipment or anything. The principal stole money from the past few plays we've made money off of. The stage is a hole in the wall because they cut out a square, pushed it back, and added two walls and a floor and some fluorescent lights. We have no lights, a crappy audio system, and we perform in the gymnasium. Good luck on your career!

Michelle I don’t know if you’ll see this but I just wanted to say how much your videos impact me. I’m still in college and my student teaching is coming up in the fall and sometimes it feels so far away and like I’ll never be in a classroom of my own. But your videos are so motivating for me and they remind me of why I want to teach so badly in the first place! The way you stay positive through altered schedules, PD days, testing, and so many after school commitments is really inspiring. I’m also a gymnastics coach. 2 years ago, I blocked off a half an inch on each side of the beam and told my level 3’s and 4’s that USAG had changed the rules to make the beam 3 inches wide so they needed to practice within the tape because that’s how the beams would be for their next competition. 😂😂😂😂 needless to say they were stressed and mad and saying “that’s SO not fair! What the heck!” Etc

In our school, their April fools joke was that they were cancelling the biggest field trip we had and a few people actually started crying. The teachers really sold it. And for their “ second “ April fools joke, they said which one is the truth and then they told their “ truths “ and one person stood forward and that perso; was telling the truth so one of our teachers was having a baby! It was the best April fools joke!

my 6th grade teacher did something like the math test. every year on the first day of school he would give out a "test" it was a full page of instructions if you read them all before you did anything on the paper you were told to sit with a smile and your hands folded. surprisingly a lot of people failed

Love April Fool Jokes... my husband and I got out 14 year old son so good this year!!! I made a big deal about making ice cream sundaes for dessert, I don't make dessert often. So I got vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce, sprinkles, whipped cream. Made his sundae out of MASHED POTATOES!!!!! It was AWESOME!! We laughed so hard, my husband was in tears! :)

"we normally have 2 hour blocks..." we have 55 minutes for ila, soc. studies, math and sceience and 45 minutes for specials (spanish, music, art, pe, ect.) and since we have spanish twice a week one of our periods is 30 minutes! i cant imagine having 2 hours of my math teacher...

I like to do “did you notice pranks” on my teachers and friends, even when it’s not April Fools Day. Here are some that I did. 1. My classmate and I switched seats for an entire class period, and my teacher didn’t even notice 2. For Halloween, I drew a clown on my English teacher’s whiteboard, and I wrote “I’m watching you.” 3. I intentionally wore a jacket backwards during passing period to see if anyone would notice.

My health teacher did the second one but not on April Fools Day, it was our second class of the year. It was so much more complicated though because you had to pretend you were doing it, and people that didn't follow directions shouted things like "IM THE FIRST TO GET THIS FAR!!!" It was hilarious

I've realized that whatever school you teach at is a lot more open to making sure the students have everything and are enjoying themselves. It also seems a lot more lenient with the schedule changes. The school I attend keeps the same schedule everyday. (Granted it is a high school so there's already a difference.) However when i was in elementary nothing would ever be rescheduled. This is just an interesting thing i've picked up on.

My classmates in 6th grade used to always question our teacher about whether or not she had a boyfriend. For april fools day, she wore a big diamond wedding ring on her left hand. Half way through the class, one of my friends spots the ring and yells, “YOU GOT MARRIED???” Our teacher then tells us that she will explain it to the rest of the class. Its the end of class and our teacher, with a sneaky little smirk, finally says april fools.

I know this is totally not prank related at all whatsoever but can you do a video on like how you handle special needs kids if you have any more like I think I've heard you mention meetings I'm just curious like if you could do something like that.
