The fact that you are talking this much in the thrifting store is so amazing... my anxiety would be screaming! This was filmed so well! I love the plaid skirt too!
Here no fall /winter items out eigther. Acually happy found a almost new swimsuit (sporty model) and a tankini (been looking for years) Sleepware/ swimware is always rare Still looking for a good blazer. And always on the hunt for boots. Love the bowtop and the black gingam top I loved all the pladitems you showed. I would " kill" for them aww love that dress! Your velvet buy is amasing! ( I would love to find a velvet dress) Yes those pants will look amasing with your Docs! Give me 2 inches from your legs ;) Gorgeous black wool dressier pants Another I would like to thrift is a long wool camel colored coat. Grate video Love what you bought X
Hmmm I feel like there’s nothing wrong with having clothes that are similar if you wear them all and you love them all. Of course no one has to buy what they don’t want to! What I mean is that I don’t see an actual problem with having a wardrobe that sort of blends and meshes together and has repeat styles and items-it’s not objectively “wrong” or “right”, it’s just an option. For instance, the maker of Rosery Apparel’s closet is all basically the same hues and textures and patterns, but it is SO pleasing to look at her outfits and it’s undeniable how easy it is for her to get dressed. She makes most of her clothes with her own patterns, and she uses the same patterns over and over with sliiiight variations. But I just think that’s one way to dress and one style of wardrobe 🫡✨
I do the same thing - buy the same kind of thing over and over! :) I love that check vest and the plaid skirt. I probably would have bought the denim (chambray) dress you left as I have a lot of them in that style.
I've thrifted my two favorite sweaters ever in the summer, probably because they were from goodwill so it's not as curated. But then I'm so excited to wear my new sweater and it's way too hot
I do like the sound with the microphone your using in this video but it looks so uncomfortable thrifting with just one hand😅 I don’t mind the audio without it so I feel like no microphone or a microphone on your shirt or something would feel more natural!
it sounds so bad when I attach it to my shirt so the easiest way is to just hold it 😭 it sucks but it's the best way to get good audio while thrifting (at least to me it sound better than the mic I usually have attached to my camera when filming a thrift with me).
I love the plaid skirt on you! Looks great with the denim vest. I am a sucker for plaid. I also loved the pleated front dress you didn't buy but I know you have tons of cute maxi dresses. For me this Fall I really need nothing but want a top in that dark green you were looking at and maybe a good sweater dress. Happy Fall Alexa!
Those velvet shorts 😍 So gorgeous. I just got a pair of vintage pink leather cowboy boots 😁 and I really want a pair of high waisted big flare jeans 🙏🤞🏼
Lol, I have the complete opposite unpopular opinion on cheetah print. To me it alwasy manages to look tacky. I love your thrift haul, though! The cropped pants are adorable, the velvet shorts have so much potential for great outfits, black pants fit you perfectly and look so timeless and the plaid skirt, oh my God! As a vintage loving gal, that's just THE perfect skirt, I'd love to thrift something similar! Midi skirts are honestly underrated.
Those cropped trousers were so cool. Everything you got this thrift trip was awesome! You have a great eye for things that you will actually wear, but never buy in excess. I feel we shop and consider our purchases very similarly, which I love! 💕💕💕
The craziest thing is I was at the same location as you this past weekend and I saw a lot of the same pieces as you! So cool that we could've crossed paths!
As soon as you put in those jeans that hit above your ankles, the first thing I thought was how they would be so cute with you Dr. Martens boots! I'm a docs girlie as well and I've been trying to find some jeans that hit at that exact length as well for Fall! 🖤 also, LOVE the plaid skirt you got! It's perfect with that outfit!
I think with trends you have to imagine if you’re going to see yourself wearing it in a few months or a year or two later when it’s no longer a trend. I’ve passed on many trends since I used to fall for them so many times 😂
oh that plaid dress that wasnt in the silhouette you wanted is exactly what I'm looking for! i had to grab a screenshot and save it to my little folder of inspiration
These pants are perfect! You're so lucky, I've been trying to thrift a pair of pants that fit me for a few months now, but all I can find are slim pants that are low rise, both things are not comfortable for me. I had to bite the bullet and order pants online from a big retail chain 😢
My other tip for Halloween is buy second hand pieces you can use for costumes you will wear in your day to day. To got a cute pink dress off threadup, now I'm princess peach and a cottagecore girlie
So glad you got that plaid skirt!! Just an idea for the skirt / pants, sometimes the hem can be adjusted to give you an inch or too extra in length. Usually a tailor will do that adjustment for a pretty affordable price!
Sheer clothes with these "Renaissance" prints are my weakness, I would murder a ho for that top, haha. Recently bought very similar maxi dress, and the main section is lined with black mesh, so it's not see-through, will be rocking it with my docs when I'm ready for autumnal colors :)
I've found my best item of all time yesterday, I saw it and thought 'Alexa would dieee' it's a vintage Karen Scott denim maxi dress with an autumn scene embroidered on the front - pumpkins n all 😭😭😭 oh and for ✨£7✨
Lol I'm sorry but evertime calls leopard print cheetah print I get "mad" because you can easily tell the difference and cheetahs are one of my fav animals
My thrift dream is to find a perfect cheetah print coat! My friend saw a girl wearing one in a video almost 10 years ago and told me I needed one! I'm still waiting to find it one day...
I think you have a shopping problem. I have come to realise I have as well and think it’s better because I’m buying second hand. Sadly we’re just as bad as people that buy new because we buy so much.
Buying something secondhand is not the same as buying something new because it's already been produced and will either be purchased or sent to the landfill. A majority of my job is filming thrifting videos and encouraging people who have never bought secondhand to try thrifting.
Honestly, if you wore a tight romper for trying on you could do the thumbnail with an outfit made from the clothes! It would honestly be really fun imo getting completely unique unseen pieces in each thumbnail 😅🥰
