Alexa try pinesol on those armpit stains. I have a small spray bottle in the laundry room. I leave it on for about 10 minutes or overnight. It works well for me, i haven’t had any problems with staining it damaged fabric.
Such good advice! I have been following something like this as well. If I am even second-guessing a little bit I know it’s not worth buying it, it’s obviously not needed!
Yes I've learned the hard way that if I don't love it in the store I'm not going to love it. I'm willing to wait for a piece I love instead of buying something that's just okay.
Don't forget that if you don't like the buttons on something, you can change them :) Just get yourself a needle and thread. Some of my favorite tops are ones that had originally had crappy buttons. You can also make a basic jacket more unique by adding cool buttons.
The way my jaw dropped at the jacket at 15:36, I have the same one! I usually wear it with jeans or over a long black skirt, it's one of my favorite pieces
@@saraho2134 I got it thrifted and the tag is “Briggs - New York.” It’s a size 16, which I don’t usually wear, so it gives it just a slightly oversized feel without being too big!
My top 3 thrift tips: 1. Try everything on. Always. You can’t pick the color or pattern so thrifting is all about the fit and typically you can’t return items. Wear something easy to change in. 2. Likewise wear comfortable footwear that is also easy to change 3. Treasures are hidden in trash. Don’t just skim. Systematically just push each hanger aside like a robot and look at each piece. If you don’t, you will miss good finds. If you are lucky you can push items down and make hole in sections, and then just go through section by section, sliding each piece. You can actually do it very robotically and quickly and it won’t take more time than randomly looking around, but you WILL find more stuff!
I screamed when you didn't buy that tapestry jacket, what a dream item! 😍 😅 I hate that we don't have huge thrift stores here in the UK, our tiny charity shops are just not the same vibe! I mean, they are still my second home but I would love to spend hours browsing in a thrift store 😊
Old navy doesn’t have good quality?? Girl you’re wild lmao I don’t even like their aesthetic but I’ll still look for clothes from them because they last foreveeeerrrr
I went thrifting the other day and in the pajama section found a dress that was NOT a nightgown, it was a legit dress--but bc the employees believed it to be a nightgown I paid $1.99 for it--yessss.
We called those slip shorts pettipants back in the 60’s. The pair with rows of lace were intended to be trimmed to the length you needed under your skirt.
My grandma had a drawer full of them. I used to borrow them to wear as pajamas when I'd spend the night with her. 🥹🥲 They were always so silky soft and comfortable.
I started your video earlier this morning but had to step out. On the way back home I stopped at our local thrift shop. I bought a pair of Vince Camuto leather high heeled booties for $9.00 and a brown/baby blue patterned midi dress made in India for $6.50. I changed clothes when I got home and now wearing my thrifted jeans, belt and sandals previously purchased at different times. Paid about $16.00 in total for all three. I love me some thrifting.
the pj dress is STUNNING! Also i love the layering of the slip over the pants too

I know and understand you want to be stylish in your videos, but I thought I might just leave you a good tip if you are doing thrifts without recording: Wore a workout legging or something instead of jeans whenever you plan to thrift skirts or shorts, the best way to try them on as leggings usually fit like a glove, so you can try stuff above. Love your videos though!
12:32 the tops you're looking at perfectly make the non binary flag!! 😄❤️ I also noticed the cute bisexual colored long sleeve(?) on the left the entire scene from 21:40 or something 😂❤ hehe so random but i love spotting specific color combinations
I went thrifting tonight and I got a pair of black Adidas shorts, a heathered green Carhartt tee, 5 brass candlesticks in various sizes 😱, and 2 ceramic flowerpots for my plants. I was very happy with my haul!
I wouldn’t wear that presumably Lanz nightgown out. Do you ever see other girls wearing slips as skirts Not saying you’re wrong to do it, but I’m curious. That really cute navy sundress is one reason half slips exist. I had black slip shorts in the 60s, may still have them, they’re so practical.
Yes, you do look good in that cocoa brown! It’s light enough for summer, I think. I like the peplum tops; I had a 2-piece dress with a peplum that I wore to my son’s college graduation. think that was 1990.
When i'm thrifting i often forget to be conscious of the quality of the fabric. I'm glad thats something you look for and point out because i do sometimes end up regretting when something isnt comfortable or good quality
I would totally get the caramel macchiato t-shirt and omg I just noticed but I think it would match a lot with the plaid pants that you got, kind of early autumn vibe for a cafe.
Maybe each time you go thrifting, buy one thing you will sell. The rose tapestry jacket would be a great item to do this with. BTW the brown pants are Madras plaid.
polka dots are basically my entire wardrobe and literally all of my favorite polka dot dresses are from thredup, it's worth looking if you're wanting to try out that trend :)
The thing about the boxer shorts... not me currently wearing a pair, haha. I stole them from our family garage sale years ago. They were my brother's when he was little and they fit like a women's size small. Of course they're clean! Just thought to mention, I mean, they're great as shorts!
I just bought the perfect white summer dress on Vinted (European depop I would say). It has pockets, puffy sleeves, little opening on the back with two ribbons to tight it up, it's tiered and 100% cotton ❤ Now I'm just waiting for the package :33
I went thrifting for a few summer items today.... Got a lavender maxi dress - nightgown with a lace lined top & spaghetti straps.... very Bridgeton-esque. I also got a crean summer blazer & a cream floral mini skirt/skort in a very lightweight fabric. Going to be a "romantic, garden-party" theme for me this summer!
random, but i appreciate you blurring out the people in the background. i’m always scared of being filmed while i’m in public or ending up in someone’s video, so i appreciate that you respect people’s privacy
I found that same Old Navy slip dress at a store in Australia. Looked like there was crates and crates of surplus clothing being sold for only $1 in a cheap store (called Shiploads), but not an opshop. Also Liz Claiborne clothing too, which previously I had only heard sbout in RU-vid videos. Guess surplus stock gets shipped around the planet and sold cheaply.
Oh man, I was liking this video until that last sweatshirt! 😂 Im always on the hunt for great gems at the thrift store, but right now I'm hoping to eventually find a black, poofy, tulle skirt that's around knee length and has a stretchy waistband.
Flowing floor length skirts and casual dresses are what I’m looking for this summer. I’ve not been into skirts and dresses for a while, but I’ve started to rekindle the flame
I love the plaid trousers! I also have the problem of getting too attached to things like clothes and not being able to get rid of them lol. Love your videos! ;)
