Now we actually can see Rod desperately needing Historia. But yes, why? Those are the right questions, yes. Correct me if im wrong but it seemed you were doubtful of Historia, no? But if you think about it, she didnt have any family just recently. Her one friend and supporter, Ymir, left her. Now her dad is suddenly by her side? Makes sense why she would be willing to give their relationship a try.
