Remarkably Bright Creatures is such a good book! Predictable, but that’s not really the point, the journey is. Marcellus is a whole vibe and the book just feels like one big octopus hug 🐙 ❤
I am happy you've kept Small Favors. Is one of my favourite books. It's such an autumn vibe book, spooky and interesting. I am sure you are going to like it.
most libraries have a small bookstore either in or nearby the library, they tend to sell used books for anywhere from fifty cents to a few dollars. highly recommend, i've found tons of amazing books in library bookstores, plus they support libraries!
@@mandyisalicecullen yes!! My library absolutely sells used books and they do library sales twice a year, but there’s just something about a store as big as half priced with all used books😭 so awesome
I always find amazing limited edition box sets at that Half Price Books location. It’s the best!! And the employees are so nice. ❤ I think you’ll absolutely love Remarkably Bright Creatures.
What an amazing thing, a used bookshop were you can bring your own books to shop on credit. We need that in The Netherlands! Loved the entire vlog! 🥰 Do you have a buy-me-a-coffee link?
OhMyGoodness, new subbie here!! Love, love, and adore this video so much! It's seeing content like this that makes me so excited for the future of my own channel! Eeeeekkk!!
hi Regan, just wanted to inform you that barns&nobei is having 50%sale on hardcovers right now. i remember how bummed you were when you missed it last time. much love.
licanuis trilogy is phenomenal you will definitely love it! the magical school is only about 50 pages of the book though. any other parts that take place at a school are more like sanctuaries and places for protection. there really isn’t any magical school elements
I loved the Licaneus Trilogy. You should definitely read it. Don't get turned off my the slow pacing in book #1. It really takes off in the final third of book 1. It's not based on Roman culture like The Will of the Many. It's just standard European based fantasy like most classic fantasy. The magic school is not a major part of the plot or setting. The author does you a solid by including a recap of the previous book at the beginning of each subsequent book in the series. So if you don't read them back to back, don't worry. There is a nice recap of the events. It was one of my favorite fantasy series of last year. Second only to the Chorus of Dragons series by Jenn Lyons. I read the first book of the Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne and I really enjoyed it. It has a very good prologue. I haven't read book 2 but I intend to. I get easily distracted by new, bright, shiny books. And I'm a mood reader...
So proud of you Regan you are giving away lots of beautiful so important to give away books we don’t need anymore books xoxo 😚 📚📚🌞🌞💛📙📙💛📚🌞🩵🩵🩵🩵🌞🌞💛📙🏝️🏝️🏝️💛📚🌞📚📚📙🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️📖📖📖📖🏝️🏝️📙💛📚📚🌞🩵🩵🌞📚💛💛📙🏝️🏝️🏝️💛📚🌞🌞📚💛📙🏝️🏝️🏝️📙💛💛📙
You are going to love ‘Remarkably Bright Creatures’ 🥹🐙 It’s my 2nd favorite book ever. People can judge if they want, but I am Autistic (late diagnosed) & ADHD (diagnosed in my 20’s) /disabled and had to relearn coping mechanisms to be able to ‘sit & read a book’. So if a book speaks to me at that level, it touches my heart in all the places, it’s a win! I just started my 16th book of the year. That’s more books than I have read in the last 16+ years! However, I digress. I suggest listening to the audiobook as well because I ‘made’ 😂 my husband do that. I listened to part of the book (a pivotal part) with him and sat with a tissue over my face because I was crying so much 😭… Marcellus’s voice was perfect 🐙… Glad hubby did audio. And my favorite quote from the book is not so much what is said, but WHO says it😁🥲…..
as an employee of a different store this is definitely a larger one since it’s like the main on in Austin, I feel like the only bigger one in Texas is the main store jn Dallas because that one is THE hpb lol but most of them are fairly cozy sized
When people ask me what I miss most about Texas. My easiest and quickest response is Half Price Books! 📚 Other than loved ones is there actually anything else to miss??
Literally took 150 books all popular books and in great condition to a place near me and only hit 70$…if we weren’t moving I would have just kept them to sell on my own.
I love book shopping one of my favorite things to do and so peaceful and relaxing to me xoxo 😚 🌞📙📙📚📙🌞💛🌞📙🩵🩵📖📖📖📚🌞💛🏝️🏝️🏝️💛🌞📙📚📚📖📖📖📙📙🌞💛🏝️🏝️🏝️🏝️💛🌞📙📙📚📚📚📙📙🌞💛💛💛💛📙📙📚📚📚📚📙🌞💛🏝️🏝️💛📙📚📚📚📙🌞💛💛🩵📖📖📖📖
I seem to recall Abercrombie saying that half a king is considered YA by the people that make those labels, but that he definitely doesn’t consider it to be
Now that I realize who is the author of The will of the many, I am scared because I was really disappointed by the first book of the trilogy you just bought. I hope The will of the many is better 🤞
