The library and the seating and the fact that you’ve made the room so colourful and fun. Also when you said Wings of Fire you explained my life in 3 words-
As someone in the professional world now, I love seeing newer teachers continuing to embrance classroom environments. One of the things I hated about high school and even uni to an extent is that every classroom became monotonous and bare. It’s just much more inspiring, even in the professional world when you’re in a room full of color and vibrance.
Your room is huge!!!!! I had narrowly great grade five teacher as well! I don't know what it is about grade five teachers, but they're like... The best. Keep doing what you're doing! I can't imagine how lucky your kids are! Have a good day!
I wish you were my teacher. The flexible seating is something i need so when someone has it it helps. I'm sure your students love you and your doing great on the internet. I hope you keep persuading my dreams. :)
What I would do to ONLY have 18 students, even when I was self contained!!! Being a middle school teacher means that it is not the same thing every hour. Love your room with all the flexible seating, and am a little envious TBH. Will need to figure a similar system for my library, which is a little bigger than what you have. It may just make things easier for the kids to keep the books organized.
I just want to say "Thank You". Why because I was working with one of my Sped kids one day and she didn't want to sit in the chair, she was leaning over the table, but otherwise engaged with the lesson. I was about to tell her to sit down again and you and your flexible seating came to mind and I was like: What is she hurting by standing up? The answer is Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I told myself the 80's called and they want their rigidity back.
My whole life I have dreamed of being a teach and I plan.Out my class room even though I'm still in 6 th grade I love watching teachers if I went to school this would be so ☺ your students are so lucky to have a teacher who truly cares about them because I know A LOT of my teachers don't care about me :(
Omg 17 my smallest class size is 34 and my biggest is 41 I am a 10 and 11 grade history/geography teacher . That was just crazy when I heard that!!!❤❤❤
Hi,just found your channel and I'm so happy. There aren't very many 5th grade you tube channels most are 3rd and younger. So, it's refreshing!!! I hope you make more. What do you use for their Book Bins? Love them!! Hands down favorite area is the library. I too purchsed all my books and still do. I don't have bookcases so, i ziptie crates together to make my own. OMG… I see your math curriculum is Bridges in Mathematics… my school is adopting this curriculum for the 23/24 school year. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on it!!!! I am SOOOO overwhelmed looking at how MUCH it is!!! Could you do a plan with me video using your curriculum??? By the way LOVE your classroom!!!
I wish my class was like this. We have desks and there is a couch but only for independent reading and it’s so bare because of state testing as well. How is the year already over?
Only, ONLY, ONLYYYYY, if I was in that school i would want to be in your class next year. Also I love bears so much so I just wish I was in your school
It’s too bad you didn’t have loft areas. I know some teachers don’t want places for kids to “hide” but it would make having flexible seating available to those teachers who have 28 kids. I was always exhausted from being overwhelmed with kids. We need to fix this system. I remember having 22 kindergarten kids too. And 150 English students in eight grade. They think you only have to prep one lesson each day but we all know that kids learn at different levels. And then all those papers and tests to grade yikes. How do you get all that done and have a family and kids to boot
