I'm a Christian. I love jewish weddings and the entire chosen people of Israel. May god bless you and your family and the entire state of israel. Much much love from INDIA❤
I'm not religious or a proponent of marriage, but I found this profound and moving. Thank you for sharing your day. I love seeing the joy and support. Blessings.
I have never attended a Jewish wedding and I thank you enormously for not only allowing me to attend one but to also explain it to me! I recently discovered your channel and love learning about your rituals and faith. Thank you for sharing your life
You can tell how happy you and your husband are by the way you look at each other in those photos 🥺 that's what I love about weddings, regardless of religion or nationality
Sara Malka your wedding pictures brought tears to my eyes. You are absolutely glowing. Your dress was beautiful and the joy on your face and your husband’s face comes right off the screen. It was lovely to see your beautiful face. The blending of the Sephardic and Ashkenasi traditions was truly beautiful. My wedding was orthodox but only Ashkenasi but I loved seeing your Sephardic roots as well. I had to laugh at the part where you and your husband were raised in the chairs. I remember that so well. I was so scared that I could hardly hold the napkin. I’m so thrilled you posted this. Just beautiful.
Awww thank you so much Sharon! I agree with you one of the scariest moment was being on the chairs 🪑 specially my hubby with is fracture ankle! I was petrified 😱! Thank you again for being such a soothing voice in my life ! Xoxoxo
Carrying the candles to honor loved ones lost is so beautiful, I actually teared up thinking about it. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful weddings, as well as your own. I can see so much love in your wedding pictures, and of course I love Jewish weddings
Thank you so much my sweet friend for taking the time to write to me today❤️❤️ Sending you many comforting hugs 🤗 Thank you to be such a beautiful neshama ( soul) in this gloomy world 🌎
When I was the maid of honor at my friend’s wedding (Roman Catholic ), there were several people that the bride and groom wished to honor. Attached to the ribbons on the bride’s bouquet were charms with pictures in them. One was a picture of her mom who had passed away a few years before the wedding, the other was a picture of her first husband, who had died of cancer almost exactly 2 years before the wedding. The other picture charms were tied around the altar flowers, and included pictures of the groom’s father, who died just over 2 months before the wedding. The other picture was of the groom’s first wife who also died of cancer. Incidentally, the bride’s first husband played the bagpipes at the groom’s first wife’s funeral. The two men knew each other as local police officers and often worked together. I was the matchmaker who brought the two together. The wedding was held on what would have been my parents 46th wedding anniversary. On another note, my mother’s close friend from high school had a daughter who was marrying a (Reform Jewish young man. The wedding took place in our local Catholic Church. The priest who performed the ceremony was a college friend of the bride’s father, and carefully researched the Jewish marriage rituals. He had a chuppah placed in the sanctuary, and the Old Testament reading was in Hebrew. Not too many of the grooms relatives came, but the ones who did I’m sure appreciated the priest’s efforts. I know this is getting long, but I feel that I have to add just one more thing. A number of years ago, I was sitting at a school party, speaking with the husband of one of my colleagues. The husband and wife were modern Orthodox, and Richard was surprised that I knew so much about Jewish traditions and holidays. I explained to him that everything that I believe as a Roman Catholic has its roots in Judaism, so by learning about Jewish traditions, I can better understand where my faith comes from.
I love Jewish weddings! This vlog brought tears to my eyes because it was all about love: love between two people as well as love for family, friends and unknown viewers. Your prayers as you walked toward the canopy and your words at the close of this video are evidence that you are a healer. Bless you.
I love Jewish weddings!!!! My daughter converted and her Jewish wedding to my wonderful son in law was so beautiful! Yours is an inspiring faith I admire very much.
I love Jewish Weddings. Thank you for sharing such beautiful customs. You have given me insight of my Sephardic ancestry that was lost during the Spanish inquisition. I grew up as Mexican Catholic. Many blessings to you and your family.
I am so blown away and humbled by your and your family’s generosity to share this with us. I am not Jewish but yet you treat us all like family. So much to learn from you, far beyond cooking. Thank you to you + your lovely family. ( I love Jewish weddings!!)
thank you so much for your sweet message, i am so happy you liked the video! i am curious was there a "whaaaattt" or a " wow" moment for you in the wedding or perhaps a moment that spoke more to you: i would love to know! thank you again for being here! xoxoxo
@@frumitup I loved how loved ones circled around to show extended community/support for each person and honestly just the absolute joy and love on your faces. So clearly about the importance of the ceremony instead of just consumerism.
Thank you so much for this beautiful video and your thorough explanation of all the aspects of the wedding ceremony. There is so much pure joy that everyone shows! I LOVE JEWISH WEDDINGS!
Thank you for sharing the beautiful moments of your wedding day. This is the first time I've ever had the privilege to see a Jewish wedding, so thank you. Love and blessings. I LOVE JEWISH WEDDINGS! ❤❤
I love Jewish weddings! My first Jewish wedding will probably be my own in 2024 as I am converting and most of my engaged friends are not Jewish 😅 the pictures from your wedding are beautiful and so joyous and the video is stunning as well. My fiance is Ashkenazi and I am half-Syrian and we want to honor both Ashkenazi and Sephardi customs in our wedding. I love the thought of getting to spend time with all the women before the ceremony to give blessings!
As a Digital Media major, I would absolutely be mortified if I lost footage. Every worst nightmare is a lost photo or video due to accidental deletion or a corrupt SD card. On a positive note, I absolutely love the meaning behind each part of the wedding.
The loving looks you gave to each other at your wedding filled my day with joy and light. I just hope for everyone to be looked like that every day of their lives.
My daughter came home in December and told me she is marrying her best friend. A lovely Jewish boy named Ari. He is not Orthodox but I am completely ignorant of his faith and traditions, I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can. Thank you for this lovely video and all of the explanations of why you do the things you do. I can find what happens but not the why. I am thrilled she has found such an amazing young man and they have such plans, I cannot wait. Thank you, one mother to another, for helping me love and support my child and her fiancé.
Nothing fills me with joy more than watching people celebrating their rituals and customs. Thank you so much for sharing this special and beautiful wedding, (both yours and your friends), it made me so happy!
Wow…..my beshert and I will be married 7 years. Watching this video brings back memories. We even used his great grandfather’s prayer shawl, which was over 100 years old. You are so beautiful!!! You both look so happy and I’m happy! Beautiful gown!!!! ❤. We still need to find the right frame for our ketubah….
I love Jewish weddings! I was walking in my favorite park one day back in the mid 80's and spontaneously took the path that lead down to a small lake. To my surprise, there was a wedding going on and, being hearing impaired, I couldn't understand what was being said. I found out later that it wasn't my hearing or the respectful distance, it was a Jewish wedding! It was the most beautiful wedding I'd ever seen! I also found out later that the Bride was a cousin of my next door neighbor. So, did * I * make that Spontaneous move to follow that path, or was I being guided? I was baptized in to the Southern Baptist religion when I was 9, and didn't fully understand what I was doing. At 17, sitting in church during an Advent service, God showed Himself to me, and wrapped me in a hug of pure love and bright white light. I go back to that hug during hard times, and I know I am loved by our gracious Heavenly Father! Mazel Tov!
Wooowww what a beautiful story❤️ thank you so much for sharing it with me: I feel very blessed🥰 You probably know my answer: I think you were divinely guided as nothing is haphazardly happening in someone’s life🥰 Xoxox
Lee Ann Johnson, I too was baptized into the Southern Baptist Church around nine! ( I’m non denominational now) I’ll be 40 in a few days and I thank God the Father for sending His Son that I can live sin free and live eternally 🙌🏻 I praise Jesus for those hugs every day feeling Him walking and talking with me cause I can’t even do this life without Him! Isaiah 53❤❤❤
From the age of 3 I attended The Salvation Army, becoming a uniformed senior soldier aged 15. My wedding was a Salvation Army one so tee total for me and the surroundings were much more austere. I left for 30 years but now aged 68 I am back in the religion I love. I adore Judaism and love learning about your culture and traditions because after all there would be no Christianity without Judaism so you are our fathers.
I love Jewish weddings 💑 Thank you for sharing this, I am not Jewish but I love watching your videos and others like it. By the way, the words you speak at the end of your videos to all who are still watching, make me feel so good, they lift my weary soul...❤
Oh Sara I am so sorry to hear that your poor husband was on crutches for your wedding and in pain! But I am so happy to see that he had a great time despite this! Gods blessings on you both and your kiddos! Much love ❤️! Px
I love Jewish weddings! I was not raised religious but envy the strength and reassurance you have from your community. Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with the new marriage as well as your own. You are such an amazing person. The prayers you had while the cloth was over your face are so kind and your smile on that day was a beacon of light. Truly, you are a gorgeous person.
I loved your dedication at the very end to the ones who are now in eternity. Lovely video and absolutely loved seeing the pictures of your wedding and the current ceremony. May the Good Lord bless this lovely new family. I love Jewish weddings
I love Jewish weddings! I love that family and love for everyone is the focus and not the bride only. Congratulations to the newly-married couple, and blessings on your sweet family.
I'm really inspired by you as a woman and as a wife:) I'm impressed. I was a homeless heroin addict and by the Grace of God today I am strong, sober, have a great job and a loving husband. I'm glad that I now know where to look for the right kind of guidance and inspiration:)
I just came upon your videos, and I really enjoy the way you explain rituals and traditions in your beautiful, calm and joyful voice. I am Catholic and though the traditions are different, I feel a strong connection to people of the Jewish Faith. May you and your family be blessed with long, happy and healthy lives. Thank you for sharing your life with outsiders. ♥️
I love Jewish weddings. ✡️. So deeply serious and yet hours of fun and dancing unconditional love ❤️ Thank you for sharing this with people of different or no faith. Love to all. Lynne
Such an incredibly stunning wedding! The ceremony, the blessings, the people, everything and everyone are just so absolutely beautiful! I am sorry for the loss in your family, I’m sending you many positive blessings and hugs! I would love to be apart of a Jewish wedding one day, it would be fascinating to see! Much love to you my amazing friend! ❤️
@@frumitup I would be honored! And when time comes for my children, I would absolutely love having you there as well! I don’t know if you ever experienced an Irish Brooklyn wedding before. I’d like to properly introduce myself. My name is Alyson. I realized I never used it on here. Thank you for always bringing me such positivity. Much love to you and your family ♥️
@@iceeyes3875 awww thank you Alyson ( such a perfect name for you!!) I would love to come and see an Irish wedding! I’m sure they must be filled with traditions! Or maybe 🤔 I’m Just imagining things! 😅😅😅 Xoxoxo
Dr. Sarah, I haven't seen your beautiful rituals for a while . I try to explain the beauty of your family, people's rituals that help maintain order in your beautiful religion .. I am grateful to you for your experience and knowledge, therefore sharing with an admirer like me. Happy belated Mother's Day - Many blessings and health Siannon
Wonderful. I was born in Morocco and your wedding is almost 99% Moroccan, . I love it and love your beautiful kitchen, it reminded me of my Jewish Neighbour's home though they were poor but exceptionally clean. Wow so lovely to see your videos. Peace and love from London.
This was so emotional! You looked so beautiful. Jewish weddings are so breathtaking. I can’t wait to have one in the future if we convert., God willing 🙏🏼
I Love Jewish Weddings! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful start of your life together, I really love your channel and have learned so much from your videos. Thank you for helping me on the start of my journey.
This was so beautiful, I was in tears! Such a lovely explanation of each little thing, and everything done with such reverence and joy. I'm only sorry that we were secular at the time of our wedding and didn't do this. That would have been incredible!
I’m balling my eyes out here. As a Christian, there is so much we neglect and this is an absolutely beautiful and bright example of where we all can glean something G-d is doing in the lives of people. Mazel Tov and thank you very much for the video.
I love Jewish weddings! ❤ Thank you Sara Malka for sharing this glorious celebration and thank you for sharing photos from your own special wedding 💝 I appreciate all of your time and efforts to share with us 🌞
I love Jewish weddings! Sara, your wedding pictures are absolutely stunning! You are truly a beautiful woman, and your joy for life and love for your husband just shine in those pictures! 🥰 The wedding looks like it was so much fun, and I hope that everyone who attended had their hearts filled with joy that they were able to pass along to others in their lives. "Joy shared is joy multipled, and sorrow shared is a burden lightened." When we share our happiness with others, it goes out into the world and continues to grow. When we share our grief, our loved ones help us to carry the burden, and we are not alone. Blessings to you and your family, and may your joys continue to increase forever. ❤
I REALLY do love Jewish wedding and youtube them and watch them. So thank you sooooo much for sharing this and your wedding photos too. You were a beautiful bride!
So much history involved in this. The beautiful veil placed over your face by the groom, to know the reason behind the tradition was wonderful. The candles that were carried, representing the souls of family and friends that had passed on touched my soul deeply. The blessings, representing the purity of the new spirit, the open sides of the covering to represent your welcome to all. The contract is in a way like the prenup contracts of today, but I imagine there is more love contained in the contract and the promises it contains. And lastly, the breaking of the glass. I had never known the meaning behind this tradition until now. And it makes me want to know more. Lastly, the joy of the celebrations after the wedding, And to know it continues for seven days! Oh my goodness, I love Jewish Weddings! Someday, please give a deeper understanding of the meaning behind some of these traditions. And your pretty headscarves, I am not Jewish but would love to have a few to keep my hair under control. Thank you for sharing this precious time with the public. It is a treasure. Live long, and prosper.
I love Jewish Weddings! This brought me back 20 years to my daughter's wedding. I have somehow lost my copy of the video but it looked a lot like this video! Chabad custom is to have the Chuppah outside and I remember the wind almost pulling it out of the brothers' hands! Thank you for this beautiful video and all the others that you so graciously share with us!
I enjoy your RU-vid Videos. I am not Jewish but I was a single mother with two little girls and I was helped by my Jewish boss to go to nursing school. I have never forgotten his kindness. I have known many Jewish families and they were always very kind and welcoming. I believe they lived to make this world a better place. Thank you for sharing your culture and beliefs with all of us.
I love jewish weddings . Thank you sister from another mother. You are loved . Thank you for your awesome videos, they teach Christians the beautiful part of this Lifestyle that we neglect . I am so in LOVE with what you share . God bless you and your family richly in Jesus name Amen 🙏🙏
Shalom, Sarah! This was so beautiful that I watched it twice! I love and miss weddings! Sadly, we haven’t been to one in four years. Thank you for sharing your invitation and your memories with us. 💚
I love Jewish weddings! I do enjoy seeing the other videos explaining the obligations, rituals, and loving care that is shown throughout in caring for family and friends. ❤
I love Jewish weddings! I went to my first Orthodox, Chabad wedding about a month ago, and it was so beautiful! It was an incredibly spiritual experience. I am so grateful and honored that I was invited to be a part of it. Thank you for sharing this video and your own photographs and story.
Hello, Sarah. This is very interesting, and thank you for sharing this. I've seen many Jewish wedding dances on RU-vid (usually the very large ceremonies in Brooklyn), but not one in such an intimate setting as this. I don't recall seeing women in the other videos, so it was nice to see how both men and women celebrate as you have shown. Your ceremony was lovely, and thanks for explaining the various stages. (As I am not Jewish, I only know from what I am learning when reading or viewing these.) What a shame about your photographer deleting your video. But, you have some beautiful photographs. Thank you once again, and although I have never been to a Jewish wedding, "I love Jewish weddings". Yes, I stayed until the very end! Thanks again, and I hope you've had a good weekend.
I love Jewish weddings! Having seen several of your videos now, I can say I appreciate your focus on family, on your relationship with God, and your love of people. You are a remarkable person to keep things so well organized! I think also that your mother must have been quite a woman to have instilled these wonderful characteristics on you!
I love Jewish Weddings! Your wedding was beautiful. I can hardly write this as tears run down my face. My husband’s mother was Jewish, she knew Yeddish. She passed away and he never got to understand his Jewish culture. His father is Catholic and now that we have our children we would love nothing more than to teach our Children of HaShem. Where to start if we are not converted? Can you even convert? Thank you for blessing all of us and we bless you and your husband, family and friends back. Shalom.
I love Jewish weddings! I've been a guest at Jewish weddings and they're a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing this special part of your culture and faith
I love Jewish weddings! Thank you so much for sharing this special day with us! My husband and I are celebrating our 35th anniversary in a couple of weeks, and I can't help but compare our wedding to yours, though in our case, I was the one limping. I had had the proximal phalanx and metatarsal of my left big toe crushed five weeks prior to the wedding, so there wasn't any dancing for me!
Hi Eileen! What a wedding story you have! BzH you will be dancing away on your 35th wedding anniversary! May you celebrate 🎉 many more in good health with your eternal chatan! Xoxoxo
I Love Jewish Weddings! That was so beautiful, Sarah! Thank you so much for sharing it and memories of your wedding with us. I Love all your videos even though I often don’t comment bc I’m multitasking. Lol. I’ve learned soooo much from you. ❤️
Aww thank you so much Maggie! I am so grateful that you took this moment to write to me in your very busy day sending you many many loving hugs your way
I love Jewish weddings! I am in awe of the beautiful religious traditions & their meanings behind each one. Thank you so much! I am a Catholic I find the Jewish religions so fascinating. Thank you for sharing. Congratulations to the bride & groom! Mazel tov!!
I love Jewish weddings. Thank you for a look into your wedding. I love all the traditions and thus the strength in the family units. I was not blessed of having any Jewish friends so was not exposed to all your wonderful traditions. I also did not realized the difference in ? Types or group of Jewish? Traditions. Thank you. You are such a beautiful human.
Lovely couple! I hope your husband's ankle is all healed. I broke all three bones in my ankle a year ago and after surgery I have a limp, But at least I can walk. You are just lovely! Handsome husband, beautiful bride!
I love that Jewish women wear modest bridal gowns. I was married almost 42 years ago ( we are Catholic) and I made my gown, which had a high neckline and long sleeves. I dislike today's provocative bridal gowns. One can be a beautiful, elegant bride without revealing what, in my opinion, should be covered up. I really enjoy your channel, and learning about Jewish culture and beliefs. Blessings!
I love Jewish weddings. Until I watched the video I didn't know all that went into an Orthodox Sephardic wedding. Watching as you explained each part oh my goshes I felt a warmness, felt the feeling of community and family. It brought a smile to my face. I will be 53 this year and have never married. I hope to someday find the man I'm meant to be with and we marry. G-d bless you and your family Sara. You are very kind and giving.
I love Jewish weddings! I am Catholic preparing for the sacrament of holy matrimony. Your channel has inspired me. Much love and many blessings to you and your family Sara
Oh I commented before but forgot to say that I think my favorite part was you praying as you went, and you and your husband giving blessings to people. That is so beautiful and loving.
I Love Jewish Weddings. That was so energetic and looked not only full of tradition and the beauty that brings, but a lot of fun as well. Those desserts...yum.
