My husband and I travel to Maui, Hawaii for the first time!

This is such a cute vlog! The scenery and recommendations! I love your itinerary it's so different from most 😍 I'm going to Maui for the first time next week and definitely got some ideas from watching.

Amazing video! We visited 3 times in 2017, 2018, and last year in 2023. You’re really underrated and the editing is amazing. We actually left 4 days before the tragedy happened in Lahaina, and we were supposed to stay on my birthday but we decided to celebrate on the mainland. The fires ended up happening on August 8th which is my birthday and we would have actually been in Lahaina eating pizza if we didn’t leave. The restaurant we were supposed to eat in burnt down so we would have probably gotten heavily injured. So glad to see everything returning back to normal! Mahalo for the video🌺🌴

Thank you SO much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I’m glad you were able to travel prior to that devastating event. I hope the pizza restaurant reopens again so we all can travel back to support them! I was thankful we were still able to support as many local establishments as we could during our visit. It’s such an incredible place. Mahalo 🌺🫶

@@lauren__morgan Ofc!! The pizza restaurant is sale peps and reopened in a shopping mall. They have delicious white pizzas which is pizza without sauce but uses olive oil and special cheeses as a replacement.

Cool video, really enjoyed your adventure. I lived there for 12 years and relived some of memories through your video. Thank you Have you ever been to Lahaina? Truly one of a kind city that will sorely be missed. My heart is broken forever.

Thank you so much for sharing!!! I’m honored to be able to bring back positive memories. Unfortunately we were not able to experience incredible Lahaina. I have heard that some areas are slowly opening back up, so hopefully that will change and we will get to go one day!

Great video. Which hotel did you stay at? Also, were most of the shops at Whalers Village open? Did it look back to normal?

Thank you!! We stayed at Maui Kai Condos. Whalers Village was very much open! This was our first visit so I can not speak to what it looked like before but Maui was very much lively with lots to do. Of course, Historic Lahaina was closed off, but we were able to support local in other areas.

Loved your video!!! I’m planning on getting to Kaanapali beach in May and was wondering how did it feel staying at that part of the island due to the fires💔

Thank you so much!!!☺️ and that’s SO exciting you’ll have a wonderful time!! I was worried about this too, because we booked our trip prior to the fires. When in Kaanapali everything is completely open (from what we personally experienced) and had an incredible visit. While it is devastating when you pass that section while going to a different spot on the island, there are many other places to support the locals whose businesses were not affected.
