it speaks to the overproduction needed to stay competitive nowadays, anything less than perfect is bashed and criticised to oblivion. not to say that 2nd gen idols werent under the same pressure but the 4th gen idols nowdays have it rough ngl, especially with the complicated choreos that do not help with singing lmao
SONE since 2009. SNSD such a miracle...never thought that my elder brother that had followed heavy metal music, emo punk, and other noisy and scary music fell in love suddenly with these 9 maidens and soften his heart. He introduce me to the group. And then almost more than 13 years later, i still can't get over kpop over my head. The girls along with fellow other 2nd gen group were truly leaders of hallyu. PS : okey i am apologise for my mistake. But we cannot ignore the fact that they were used to be 9 until 2014 become 8... it is okey. We have to accept it and moving on. But the past is always beautiful if we can cherished the memories of all of them completely.
Same, I am VIP and I'm crazy for comeback from SNSD, my faves will always be 2nd gen groups, happy because this year we had a good year of our golden era of kpop, please if you are a fan of some 2nd gen group say it and how love you have for SNSD, now this kpop world is very toxic and just numbers and each one only listen its faves, we listened almost groups even if you weren't a fan.

In Golden era pre 2014 K-Pop some fandoms are also a casual listeners of their competitors without too much unnecessary toxic fandoms behaviours.

Yes, they really sing. They do so wonderfully. Live and real. Very little lipsync. Very little autotune. They are just that talented. And very little rap, more recent groups like ASEPA seem to only rhyme and pose. You need to do more than look pretty and rhyme and rap ladies. Learn from great groups like SNSD.

@@classicengineer3331 dude snsd has 4 members who are in vocal position. Taeyeon, Tifanny, Sunny, and Seohyun. 4 of them can lead any songs, 4 of them can hold high note. Back then it was not just Taeyeon and Jessica.
I remember when they were preparing for debut they received mean comments questioning their vocals. Well sorry coz live performances back then was really a thing The hard-work and dedication of the Girls really paid off. They are now LEGENDS I dont care anymore if other people insists they fave to be better than them,coz they have a long way way way to go and GG will remain to be nation's girl group. NO ONE CAN EVER REPLACE THEM! 💖
But their stage debut was the best! I think until now no girlgroup can perform like that esp in newer generation. Raw vocals but stable, no backtrack, no heavy makeup, hard choreo, I missed those old times. Unfortunately many kpop stans nowadays didn't acknowledge them as legend (even tho their idols looked up to soshi)
I'm korean and GG was literally my childhood. BUT. I will say their live wasn't that good. The first and only time I saw them live was at this family festival/concert around 2011 and Davichi and SG wannabe was there. I remember Taeyeon being the only one good at live, I was really shocked at how she was the only good singer. It was worse because they were probably being compared to davichi's live back to back lol. But you know what, they're still legends! and their live performances and technique has gotten significantly better over the years too
Going from back in the day when choreography wasn't everything and idols could breathe, sing live and anything complex was a dancebreak to the current landscape and surviving with the same level of talent and respect? These woman are the blueprint.
Because of groups like SNSD and 2NE1 who paved the way and helped grow these kpop companies, gave these companies the power and money to produce better music and albums and styling for youre current faves today!
Their debut stage just shows how talented and skilful they were from the beginning. Stable live singing with a great choreo, soshi really gave us their everything from the start💗 I'm so proud to see all 9 of them thriving in their respective fields now. The 1 year of them practicing is worth it! Now, majority of girl groups used ITNW as practice in their training years and they become the "blueprint" in gg k-pop
Because of Girls Generation, I got to know about Kpop and addicted to Kpop. As a result, I went to Korea and studied Korean in Pukyoung National University. Thanks to Girl's Generation. 소녀시대 때문에 한국 문화에 대한 관심이 많나서 한국에 가서 한국어를 배우게 되었어요. 소녀시대 덕분에 한국어를 잘 배웠을 뿐만 아니라 한국 생활도 흥미롭고 재밌어서 기억에 제일 오래 남을 것 같아요.~^^

Their ITNW really my favorite for all debut stages. Imagine they only use microphone and not head microphone to sing LIVE and did not rely on back track while switching the mic left and right hand..with intense choreogrpahy… but still gave a very nice performance and stable live vocals

The ITNW stage was just crazyyyyy! The loud voice despite the aerobic choreo, the energy, the passion, the smile after taeyeon’s high note and sooyoung’s wrong choreo was just pure. Perfectly define their concept. I replay that final chorus so many times because it was so satisfying to see their energy and kinda jealous with audience to be able to see they kick their summer.

I stan them since 2008, on my highschool journey. Every their song and comeback I had to listen them in the library or class’s computer, and how I excited to tell my friends about their songs..so much beautiful memories

I admire all the members commitment to each other, when they could have easily just went their separate ways, worked on solo careers or joined different groups, they stayed on a 5 year hiatus just to stay together, they look and sound fantastic.
I recently saw a tiktoker say OT 8 was the “full lineup” of snds. This video put into perspective that the full lineup will forever be OT 9 (literally most of their songs included Jessica and all of their most popular tracks do ) . With that being said , the girls have still been great and I’m proud to see the remaining line up stand together and continue to make music
I don't care if it's OT8 or OT9. They all left behind a lot of memories. And it doesn't have to be too late. Those who are still stay or left may always be successful in your path.

I was born the same year they debuted. I become their fan in 2018 when Lil' Touch came out. They were the first girl group I staned. A sone for more than 10 years and never found another group as unique as SNSD. SNSD is the perfect recipe no other girl group or no other agency can recreate. they may try, but all of their groups will lack in one thing or another, whereas SNSD as a whole is a complete package.
