Antisemitism as it is commonly used should not be used. Jews are not the only semites and many Jews have limited semitic DNA. It is a tool to tie Jews to Israel historically. It is ugly mind control.
If someone wants to be completely realistic. Denouncing Zionism makes you pro semitic. Palestinians are a semitic people and being against a group of Europeans who migrated (and aren't semitic) and started slaughtering the local semitic people would by any definition of the word be pro semitic. You know an ideology is foul when even the words used to defend that ideology are flip turned outside down when compared to reality.
@@tarek7866 Gee that's obs. But they should be just as angry about any xenophobic scapegoating. The Palestinians are pretty much Semitic - certainly more Semitic than most of the European settlers masquerading as owners appointed by Big God.
@@chatisawasteoftimepidefy for starters. You can’t disguise your military as humanitarian aid workers to disguise your military operations. If you served you would know that’s a blatant war crime. 🤡
That would be so much better but also imagine if we just didn’t spend the money and things were still affordable. Since that’s where inflation comes from
It'd be one thing if the money were going to aid poor and starving populations , countries who actually could use some aid,, in that case it could be argued that it was at the very least going to a righteous cause. However, what makes it infinitely more unforgivable and indefensible is the fact that it's going to a genocidal ethno-state that already has a high standard of living and is currently as we speak carrying out a legit genocide with the very same weapons and funding we are providing them! Making us 100% complicit in this genocide against not just Gazans, but Palestinians as a whole, (seeing as how there have been hundreds of Palestinians killed in the West Bank too - which is why this despicable labeling of this conflict as a war between Hamas and Israel - is not even remotely an accurate framing of what is going on! And the fact that Hamas isn't in control and has no power in the West Bank, an yet the UDF and settler militias are still gunning down Palestinians there - this fact alone proves that Israel isn't fighting against Hamas and only Hamas.
Nope , Dave Smith is Hasbara 2.0 , Israel realised their P.R and influencers strategy was catastrophic : Dave Smith is the Re-Boot : he is totally astro-turfed : and also he is totally wrong on most things : for ex Georges Floyd died one hour 15 minutes AFTER the knee was taken off his neck : the autopsy clearly states : fentanyl and meth overdose death : zero traces of asphyxiation , the knee on the neck didn't even leave any bruising . other example I heard him dozens of time saying that hams murdered 1300 civilians on oct 7 : the actual number is 800 , including 400 army reservists ( so t's 400 actual civilians including 2 childrens , but we now know that Israel probably murdered th vast majority of these hostages : one helicopter pilot claimed he destroyed 80 cars loaded with hostages : that's already 400-500 civilians killed , a tank pilot admitted he blew up at least a dozen houses full of hostages in the kibboutz be'eri . Then you have Dave ignoring all the evidence that Israel knew at least 2 years in advance ALL about Hamas's plan , in the finest details . Even Egypt and the U.S issued warnings that Hamas was about to strike on a whole new level . Hundreds of Israeli soldiers tried to blow the whistle for years , they were silenced and threatened with jail Dave is covering up all the nasty stuff and tell the american audience what they want to hear . I have zero doubt he is aMossad agent : just look at his takeover of the libertarian party : he was airdropped by Israel at the head of this party in order to sabotage it
😊 hi user . Unfortunately you don't seem to know about bombing Arabs, Afghans or Iranians and sanctionning them for decades, it's called major interference that they will not take with a smile. To every action, there's a reaction... not saying 9/11 was easy to swallow
@@user-jc7ep2xp1cwhy do you say that because we trained and armed bin Laden and then we discarded him and sanctioned his people into complete poverty and the only way they could fight back was terrorism? Maybe you don't know as much about what led to 9/11 as you pretend to. I don't condone their actions or anything like that and I wish it hadn't happened but it happened because of what our country does to the world. That's a fact.

If everyone in Israel would be like them we would have had a ceasefire fire months ago. Hell, maybe not a single bomb would have been dropped.
It's important to remember that Glen's husband passed recently and he continues to do critical journalism. Thanks Glenn, you and Assange are the most important voices of our time.
Will you crazed Israel-haters stop getting off on wet dreams about destroying AIPAC. Start your own lobby, that's the system. ...and btw, AIPAC is not a particularly right-wing group. Be careful what you wish for because when one lobby group fails, a new one crops up.
I am a brown muslim watching this show and agreeing with both Glen and Dave and loving their work (Jews). Whats funny is that we'll all be called Antisemites together.
...You can like some Js yet still generally dislike most of them. And the term antisemitic covers too broad of a range...rendering it a generally useless term.
@@voccsaycee30 The problem is that people make the label mean whatever they want it to mean. I would wager that most people don't have an issue with Jews or Judaism. They have a problem with Zionists and people who place themselves as superior to other non-Jews. It's a supremacy mindset for many.
I wouldn't call you an anti-Semite, but your two favorites are two idiots. They're trying to be "different". They are not different but hopelessly stupid.
Can't we just write in Dr Ron Paul for president? In spite of his age, he has more brains, patriotism, and moral integrity than all the other candidates combined!
His stance on the FED is the singular issue. The FED was established in Dec 1913 but guess what was established three months earlier? That's right, the ADL.....
Until he said that nonsense about Chauvin. He did nothing wrong. Thats the problem with libertarians they are spot on about most stuff but always have a few ludicrous positions.
Will you stop drinking the Kool Aide. Israel has not gotten that much money and we send money to Egypt and Jordan as well. With Israel, however, we require them to spend their aid money on American goods which brings in a fortune in taxes that are spent on things at home. I am not a fan of war as a means to promote business but get real, that is nothing new. Israel is a tech giant and we are going to need them. You know, Jews are just 1 in 432 people on the planet yet have invented HALF of the disease cures. Next time God forbid your child gets very sick, thing long and hard about the Jewish-invented antibiotic that will save the child's life and then ask yourself, is my resentment toward the Jews logical. I know, you claim it's Israel and not the Jews, but with nearly half of the worldwide Jewish population living in Israel, we need to keep them alive and well and inventing things so stop this foolishness right now. Every penny sent to Israel is dollars saved by allowing Jewish scientists and tech. to spend time on other things than making bombs. I understand this is an inconvenient truth but someone has to remind you what the tiny portion of the population does for YOU. 15 million Jews in the world, two Billion Muslims, and a whole lot of Christians. Perhaps you might want to show some gratitude toward these wonderful people rather than allowing for a climate wherein they are once again at risk. If we lose half the Jews in the world, yet again, that cure for cancer or diabetes that was just around the corner may be once again lost. Learn to think critically because if you do, you will as I do understand we need the world's Jews and history shows time and time again we fail to keep them safe so we had better at least let them take care of themselves.
I’m Muslim but Jewish people are our cousins and we never meant to hurt them with our actions and comments, but only if we looked closer you can see how misunderstood we are about this.
They are the cousins of Arabs (the Semite Jews that is). Why are we discussing Muslims intentions to hurt Jews with their words and actions when Isr. is massacaring Palestinians? When they've been driving forces for wars on Muslims' majority lands for decades? The world doesn't revolve around Jews and their feelings.
20,000 children dead. Killed! Some kids have been reported to die from cardiac arrest due to high adrenaline and no sleep! Children being amutatated with zero anesthesia! The reports go on and on and on, each one more shocking then the next. This is all horrific!

Not sure Glenn is a J other than by blood/last name. They also aren't correct about everything, even if they speak with confidence. And most of what Dave says goes against the pro-Hamas protests...they'd be booing him for not fully hating Israel and not fully supporting Hamas

The Palestinians dont want revenge they want freedom from occupation. Im not saying NO ONE wants revenge aswell but the driving force behind the resistance has always been a fight for freedom.
As a Jew, the worst thing I've experienced is when people find out I'm Jewish, usually because I tell them -- they usually peg me as black Irish -- I've had people say a few times "you don't act Jewish". And I usually say something like, "you mean because I'm not pressing my hooked nose against the concrete looking for pennies?" But that's the worst I've ever experienced, and it's nothing. There's a rise in anti-Semitism, at least on the internet, and it's not hard to see why. The ADL and groups like that keep saying "if you criticize Israel, you're anti-Semitic". So there's bound to be people who go "okay then, I guess I'm anti-Semitic". Because it's hard to look a man-made famine in the face and find anything more important than that, and I resent the hell out of pro-Israel groups making that the face of Judaism. The ADL aren't stupid: if they cared at all about Jewish people, which they don't and never have, they'd realize that maybe it's not a good idea to tie a world-wide diaspora to a brutal government with a minority of world Jewry living in it, but they're concerned with Israel and only Israel.

@3:23: "I just made a decision that I would have integrity and tell the truth" Well said. Unfortunately that's a decision that very few people with money or power make nowadays. That's our #1 problem in this country.
I particularly enjoyed this discussion. As a Native American, I think it’s important that people who are from the same group (in this case Jewish) or a minority group that has went through something similar in the past as far as atrocities go, it’s even more pertinent that we confront what’s going on because it’s very easy to pull the victim card, the holocaust card, the slavery card, etc and when you do that, it allows you to get away with things that are sometimes unsavory, but it’s not easy to pull that card on someone who’s been through the same issue… that’s when you finally have to contend with the issue. And the issue right now is what Israel’s doing to Gaza. And unfortunately it always gets sidelined with someone yelling “antisemitism” That’s why I implore minorities to speak up
The Holocaust card as you put it has several aspects. One being, is that in addition to the millions murdered, millions lost their homes and are not throwing bombs in to Polish or Hungarian cities demanding they get their grandparent's homes back. The Jews of Europe lost everything and you do not see them terrorizing the Germans. We moved on. Granted, the Palestinians held firm but they were unreasonable. The issue right now is NOT merely what Israel is doing to Gaza as you pit it because if Israel doesn't do what it is doing, the elected leadership of Gaza has promised to do attack Israel in the same brutal manner again and again. Also, thousands of rockets are sent into Israel and no one talks about it. That American aid everyone complains about keeps the rockets from killing tens of thousands of Israelis which in turn keeps Israel from nuking those that continue to send the rockets. So with all due respect, I think you should think more carefully about what the issue "right now" is and is not. Antisemitism is a worldwide pathogen that waxes and wanes but is irrelevant in that it will always be there. This conversation in my view demonstrates antisemitism because the two of them in associating the antisemitism claim or lack of merit, are doing the very thing they profess to be criticizing which is to attach antisemitism (against Jews) to the Israel conflict. Antisemitism certainly can and does affect things that have nothing to do with Israel and can also affect or be affected by views on Israel. This conversation in my view is antisemitic because it is so irrelevant that to keep chewing on it for or against the claim is the same old, same old. It's convenient for those that don't agree with Israel to bring up this antisemitism discussion, just as they are claiming the Israeli supporters are doing. It's a bait and switch and in my view, Glenn and Dave are caught here doing the same damn thing.
@@BenjaminGolden-c5u Yes, yes… spread hasbara to someone who’ll believe it. Congrats though, you seem to be well trained and hit most of the common talking points. lol I like how you invoke “antisemitism” at the end too. Unbelievable

I have to give it to Dave Smith, he is the first person I’ve even come across that admitted, George Floyd was having a panic attack and that is where being honest about the controversies we discuss should be at.
0:30 when you say you have tons of Jewish friends that don't care about Israel, You mean you have tons of Jewish friends that were happy with the status quo and the colonization, Apartheid and the suffering of the Palestinians, but the moment something happened to Isreal, their true colors came out...🎉
Oh please. People of your ilk are the first to claim that you dislike Israel and Jews and Israel should not be confused, yet, on the other hand, you let slip that you find it notable that they had Jewish friends that were happy with the status quo. You don't get to line of your arguments this way. If Jews and Israelis are not the same thing, then American Jews should not have had to think about Israel any more than they did North Korea. ...and it makes sense that on October 7, American Jews seeing that the stated purpose by Hamas was to kill Jews that they became alarmed. Stop your "suffering" Palestinian victim narrative. They have had many chances to live in peace and prefer to want to take all of the land and expel the Jews. I don't agree it is all their land but if I did agree, I would say if you make a decision and another and another and you fail, live with it. The Jews of Eastern Europe that survived the Holocaust made a decision to never go back and get their land back. Did it ever occur to you that millions of Jews owned their homes, not only in Europe but in the Arab countries. Half of these Jews are now in America. They are not in refuge camps in Poland. They took whatever offer they could and survived. You can feel cheated but if you do, your strategies that have failed are your fault. The Jews decided that they would not claim their land in Europe in that it was a lost cause. The Palestinians want every drop of land. Israel has cooperated with giving back nearly half of all of their land to Egypt. No nation just about ever gives back land won in wars and almost every nation was formed out of violent border disputes so stop carrying on as if the Palestinians are the only group worldwide that have lost their homes. Give me a break.
Excellent Dave Smith. Great discussion among two authentic patriots who are free to speak their minds and need not toe the establishment line. It also takes courage, and both have lots of it. They can project themselves in the « others’ » shoes and think it through before drawing their own conclusions.
From a jew, who like you both, have had nothing withheld from me based on my being jewish, though did grow up in the 90’s in a small town and so heard some antisemitic statements (all which came from ignorance and conspiracy theories, none of which felt violent or violating, and left the other person feeling sheepish when i pointed it out) - THANK YOU for this. This whole moment we are in is making me very uncomfortable and worried. And honestly, the throwing around of “antisemitism” makes me feel scapegoated enough to send up quite a lot of red flags. We need more people talking about it to wider audiences. So again. Thanks.
Nobody ever thinks about that, especially in the US. The myth of the US is that when you make it it was because you grit overcame all challengers even when the are not there. Nobody makes it alone, yet one of the lies of capitalism is that you can and are therefore entitled or elite. Example. Guys like Jeff Bezos has teams of people working on reducing tax liabilities for him through congress and finance, cause he thinks that's his money and he shouldn't have to share any of it. OK, he shouldn't be able to ship his stuff on our roads then, that would put a pretty big dent in his company wouldn't it, lets see how much he made it on his own.
If what you're saying is true there shouldn't be poor Jews. But in reality there are plenty of poor and unsuccessful Jews also. To a large part Jews get the same treatment like everyone else until they reach the upper echelons of power...like everyone else would. Tennis player Diego Schwartzmann is a great example that comes to mind from Argentina. He grew up in poverty, Jewish, parents had to skip meals to put Diego through tennis coaching. I'm strongly pro Palestinian for the sake of their freedom, but that doesn't mean I'm anti-Jewish except for its excesses like Zionism.
@@Pgr-pt5ep Sorry pal, Zionism is the essence of being Jewish. It means that Jews have the right to live in their own country, the ancestral land of Israel. A non-Zionist Jew is like a lesbian woman who likes men only.
