Comedian Jo Koy, who just recently hosted one of Hollywood's biggest nights in the Golden Globes Award show, joins Rachel Kim in the studio to discuss just what it all meant for him and the history making moment.
Jo Koy , I salute you man! You had balls to stand up and take the challenge within 10days!...Those other hosts who critizes you like the VIEW and the GBNews and the rest of TV shows, why they cant try to hosts Golden Globes...lets see what they can do. For those anchors they cant handdle the pressure within 10days timeframe. Your jokes are real and mild , compare with other previous hosts , to think they have ample of time - 6months frame in preparation with re-writing scripts with writers. Filipinos are proven thru thick and thin they are working hard, loyal and honest! And you have all that. Thank you , Proud for your Mother to have a child like you!
He's appreciative and not take anything for granted. These mega celebs dont understand that just playing along could make or break years of dedication.
Jo Koy is so humble. God bless you, man. I never watched you until the Golden Globes exploded. Then I started watching him and I have never laughed at stand ups like I did with Jo Koy's.

We, the Filipinos, are so proud of Jokoy, no matter what.. his jokes were just JOKES. He is a comedian. Not all have been given a rare chance to be a HOST of a gigantic event. Congratulations, Jokoy.
I appreciate him and most of us are. it's his first time and he accepted the role 10 days before the event. I hope he can host again or do it on his stand up shows and roast back at these people. I don't care how serious it gets but for me Truth is always funny.
Jo Koy is hilarious. GG can be and often are (Hollywood) a rotten crew. Ricky has said far worse (true and also hilarious things). I didn’t see the show but Koy is one of the funniest guys in comedy.
He did a fantastic job. Half the room was quiet. If it was Ricky Gervais or Chris Rick saying the exact same thing there would have been more laughter. Hope that other half are not anti-Asian/Pacific Islander. They are supposedly actors -- laugh. For sure, one person there I am no longer a fan of. That person needs to do the right thing and make it up. A joke is a joke. People didn't think they'd get roasted? True colors come out after a sip of champagne?

I like all his jokes, specially the jokes about his mom. As i'm a mom i can tell, it related to all kinds of moms, doesn't even matter where the moms come from or where the moms born mom is mom. All moms are same. He nailed it. It's also good that ppl know him more and digging more to his jokes
He was just asked to do the hosting by the producers .. if there producers there are script writers for sure if nomenees they will be given advanced notice what to say or how to act to be the topic after the awards night .. so dont ne fooled stop acting so sensitive about the bad joke coz its all in the script
a loving son to his mom is enough to prove you are amazing! and finding the passion in making people laugh esp in America, is something unattainable become attainable and possible. basically , it is love and Jokoy is love in a very ingenious form…stand up comedian
To all the people talking smack about Jo Koy’s hosting the Golden Globes, you have no clue how good comedy and television writers are. This seemingly poor hosting performance will be a great foundation for a funny subject for next year’s hosting gig. Remember, Jo Koy’s brand of comedy is making fun of himself and his own life experiences. He did not have those tools this year, but watch out how he will make fun of himself and those smug A listers next year. You have laid out a great stage to stand on when you get back next year Jo Koy. Well played.
I watched some parts and the audience there obviously most of them giving him the eye, so he'd turned hesitant on his executions making it more awkward instead of just vibing with him like the usual normal people with some sense of humor crowd
There is nothing offensive about his joke to Taylor Swift. People are just making it big. And of course, it seems like her Highness Taylor Swift should be exempted from such joke. The fans hail Taylor like she is such a goddess to a point of not really knowing what is what is not. Please people do not hail these kind of celebrities as if they are gods. Don't let them take your sanity out of you.
If people laughed, all these haters would probably like him. If TS was laughing like crazy, he’d be getting great reviews. He wasn’t great but he was made worse by the crowd. And comedians know that.
