Believe it or not I just found him a week ago. I have been binging like a crazy person. That's one of the fun things about finding someone late on RU-vid is you don't have to wait at first for a new video. When I got this in my recommendations it was an absolute dream. I can fairly say of all of the people I've seen do Bob's makeup I was sure Matteo would be in the top five and I honestly believe that his is the worst makeup job I've ever seen. Bless his heart and Bob's as well for allowing this indignity.😂❤
i have been down a rabbit hole, here on RU-vid, with each of them, individually. So to see them in the same video feels like a weird but welcomed crossover!!

Highlighter was the last thing needed. Honestly though the shape of lights and darks weren’t that bad! My Grandmother had a similar look wearing her moomoos and Gawd she looked fabulous going to the piggily wiggly.
I think he was joking and he’s just a passionate soul lol but didn’t wanna keep going with the joke . I was kinda relieved he wasn’t gonna keep up some kinda shtick the whole time lol and yes he’s soo soo cute ugh I’ve never been more into a mustache
Oh and you could def see his artistry coming through.... all the artists out there completely understand why he went about it the way he did.... and why he was so focused on lights and shadow.... when working on a 2D plane those are your most important attributes.... without having proper light and dark placement you can't ever break the third dimension. Anyway, I think he did a really REALLY good job!!!! For having never put makeup on an actual human, and knowing his back ground it knocked it out of the park!!!! If he would have cleaned up that blend, really worked that powder iNto ALL of that foundation.... i have a feeling with his background, let him do this one or two more times and he would probably NAIL that look!!!! And I have to say it again, he just has such a sweet and kind energy about him!!!! Sending lots of love you guys!!!! Def a fan for life!!!!
@@cornylope6800 Only because it’s a transparent medium with lots of bleed. I’d say in this case it’s less about which tones were first, and more start with fine detail before laying down broad foundations.
Artists working with living canvases is always a hoot. I realize Matteo isn't a "career" artist, but he's totally approaching it from a painter's perspective, and it's so funny to watch 😂😂
As a painter who doesn't know anything about makeup this is so funny bc everything he's doing I'm like yeah that makes sense and they're making fun of him ruthlessly
The absolute funniest make-up video I have ever seen. All of Bob's faces and Matteo not being able to control his nervous laughter made it even funnier. My biggest take away however is the lovely friendship that Bob and Matteo obviously have. Really sweet to see two very funny people make each other laugh so whole-heartedly. More Bob and more Matteo please.
I’ve followed Matteo for years and every time I see him pop up somewhere I can’t help but have a reaction of wanting to hug this man. So freakin cute. And he seems so sweet...sarcastic but has manners like any good Italian boy.
This is so unusual to see Matteo this shy / concentrated. Ive been listening to Inside the closet since episode 1, before I got hooked on Drag Race (thanks Matteo for introducing me to Bob and Monet) and I’ve watched everything he has on yt and other platforms, he’s so adorably quiet here. Matteo Lane and Bob the Drag Queen is the crossover I needed. Matteo's comedy is hilarious, but I didn't know he was a fashion illustrator too. Apparently also an opera singer.

Matteo is one of my favorite comedians, back from the Race Wars days, and Bob is one of my favorite drag queens. How did I get so lucky? I always love them together!!

I've been doing drag style makeup on myself for 20 years, then last year I had to do my face on a male friend and, even though our faces are very similar, it was ridiculously hard! So I'm actually pretty impressed with the results here.
Honestly, it's not that bad. I mean it was Matteo's first attempt. I think being an artist would give him the advantage. If he practiced more he'd be a bomb makeup artist. Then we could look back at this first attempt and remember where it all started. Love y'all 💕

After a certain point, every time he said "more highlight" I literally heard a record scratch in my head lmao. And the music added throughout this video really makes it somehow so much funnier.
