I've seen Nate's dad perform and Nate is not lying. Papa Bargatze (Stephen) killed it. You buy the ticket to see Nate and by the time his dad is finished performing, you feel like you've already gotten your money's worth.

I can't imagine walking down a trail and seeing Kevin and Nate. Both are so ridiculously funny.

Saw Nate in Reno and yes, his dad killed it. Also, at the end of his dad's set, when he had finished his act, he says, "Thank you for loving my son." So yeah, he totally got a standing-O for that too. Nate then killed it as well. Hoping he can start coming to Reno every year.

One of the great things about Kevin's channel is he sometimes introduces people I've never heard of. Nate Bargatze is one of those people. I have to admit, he didn't seem that funny to me during the interview. He seemed kinda serious and didn't really joke much. I then looked up some of his standup on RU-vid and he's hilarious!! Kevin, I propose that for all subsequent hikes, you have whatever musicians you'll need for the video following you around. They would play at the beginning and end of the hike as well as whenever the mood struck them in the interim. I also think it would be great if you didn't ever acknowledge their presence on camera.

I have a random Pandora comedy play list.... I get the Nate jokes occasionally and it's so good compared to the more mainstream comics. It's him, Norm MacDonald and Bill Burr that chuckle my guts. Not saying he's on their level. But I'm not saying he's not. Keep it up! I forgot if he's from Arkansas or Tennessee.
