Your not giving comedy fans enough credit. I’ve never seen his stand up but absolutely know who he is. Dave introduced him to the masses a long time ago. Semper fi
To this day I still go back and listen to old O&A clips with Patrice and episodes of the Black Phillip show. Brings me back to a much simpler time that I'll cherish forever
1000% Absolute genius. He & Tom Segura elevate the game. How long was this clip? He made me not dislike JR for that amount of time. JR had that same ability at one point. He used to be truly great.
@@Elmesal Or so the Germans would have us believe! Also, Norm once said that Patrice was his favorite comedian. It was while he was judge on America's top comic, for reference.
I was drawn to clicking on this more so to hear about Patrice than Dave. Listening to Patrice changed my whole game when it came to being happy in a relationship.
I recently saw a clip where Patrice was talking to Jeffrey and Jeff was saying you need to develop a personality and be interestimg and Patrice very softly went "nah man its about being... RIGHT... being righteous..." and Jeffrey said "women are fucking bored man" and patrice exploded "SO FUCK EM! What have they done to make MY LIFE better, why do I have to tap dance" it was so passionate and beautiful. Also credit to Dante Nero too. He taught patrice alot of the game and he is underrated.
@@dungeon-wn4gw one of my biggest takes I learnt from Patrice is that you should never negotiate on what makes you happy in a relationship and to never be afraid of taking an L. Patrice was very pro men finding happiness in a relationship. For real, one of the greatest men to of ever lived, he lived his life exactly the way he wanted to.
@@chilliwraslin2510 Yep and what guys dont understand is that when you put girls second, that instantly makes you truly attractive. Its the tap dance that ruins men. Like you said the willingness to take a loss is what gives you the w
Dante is dope and deserves more credit but if you’ve listen to them then you already know that. Over time I’ve learned to appreciate patrice for his perspective. One of the biggest things he tried to hit home about (when talking to us guys) was to have unwavering confidence. He knew that was difficult for himself due to his weight but look at what he accomplished. He’s a stand up legend and he was a pimp!
@@chilliwraslin2510 same brother. I supressed it for 3 years and the anger and anxiety nearly destroyed me. Always end up going back to Patrice Oneils videos. Having said that fuck Dave chapelle, was good once now he is just bitter and obcessed with race its exhausting
@@allenmilburn4761 I was married and hated my life... working 70hr/week, not for the money but just to avoid my spouse. On my drive home I heard him on Opie and Anothy saying " if your significant other leaves you, what would you miss". I asked myself that question for a week and the answer always ended up as nothing. I left my spouse and now I am with another women that appreciates me and if she were to leave, there would be a lot I would miss about her. Also learned to look out for number one above anyone else.
@@davidgonzalez2115 wow. I’m really happy that you made the right decision and actually made a life change for the better. Glad it’s working out for you man! 🤙🏼
@@plinkertonman why you bringing up Louis? Patrice never had a whole bunch a chick's accuse him of sexual misconduct. He got cancelled cause he actually did some sus shit not because of uncomfortable jokes
@@KianCortada-Covarrubias Actualy Patrice was accused of rape in high school. It was obviously a BS accusation though. Just like the accusations against CK. You don't consent to something and then cry foul later because of regret.
@@KianCortada-Covarrubias I said "like", but he was actually accused of raping a 15 year old when he was young. He actually went to prison for a few months for it.
Dude I lost hope until I saw your comment lol, i was gonna be mad didn’t hear that but luckily that man has good memory and remembered what he was talking about
Patrice's death reminds me a lot of how Bill Hicks died. They were different types of comics but had in common that they were incapable of being fake and submit to the system or the show biz industry but were so powerful that finally the system had to give in to them. And right when they had the world in the palm of their hand, they died. They both had an impact on my life, even as just a fan. I still listen to Patrice's O&A appearances.
Soooo true. Patrice and Bill Hicks were in a class of there own. Never gave into the system. Hicks called it out all the time. Norm also didnt give a fuck.
Being alone isnt miserable. A miserable person is miserable and women dont fix either. Moreover, it's easy to feel more alone with the wrong women than actually being alone yourself.
@@paulfroelich1024 Especially considering that Joe admits he just copied O&A for his podcast. Truly amazing the impact a hilariously racist show could have on American culture for decades.
Loveeeeeee Nate!! Saw you at Irvine Improv. Makes you laugh until your stomach hurts. Doesn’t curse. Has no raunchiness. Just pure phenomenal comedy!!!
Patrice taught you to not give a fuck about things that were stupid. Helped you realize it was stupid. Changed my life man. What a beast he was. It’s raining stuff Patrice! ✊🏽
I realIzed in high school everything that exists is funny to someone, somewhere. Anything you can think of - from the most mundane to the most bizarre, violent, or offensive acts and aspects of the world as we know it and everything in between are humorous to at least one person out there.
This was long awaited, heard great things about Nate at Rounding Third Bar in Wisconsin. Very funny and well deserved success. Shout out to Jim Rauth as well for running great comedy classes.
Been waiting for this podcast for years now. Nate is a legit top tier comedian. To be a white guy from Tennessee & still get a special on netflix you got to be hilarious!
Living in Boston, I saw Patrice and Bill Burr many times in the 90’s. I miss Patrice, he never gave a shit, had big balls and would rip on anyone or anything.
Bill seemed like a typical angry Boston comic, buy funnier than most. I knew he would keep getting better, but I had no idea he would be a top comedian. Patrice had a ton of confidence, had an insanely funny way of looking at life, with an I don't give a Fuc* attitude. It amazed me he never got recognized as a top comedian. No movies or late night shows, maybe they were afraid of him or he didn't kiss the right as*es.
Always love hearing Patrice getting props. I feel so fortunate to have seen him live stand up more than I can count on my fingers. My fav was when he was just riffing like he gave zero fucks about the audience like they were there for his amusement not the other way around. What was most of the times I saw him. So stoked that I heard him on O&A back in the day and exposed to Patrice and ofcourse Black Phillip! 🤣
Nate's great, his Netflix special was awesome. Love when people talk about Patrice. Especially on a platform as big as JRE. I do Patrice animations from his O&A appearances. Check em out. No need for subscribers or nothing like that. Just relive some of his best bits in animation form.
One day we will speak of Nate much like he is speaking of other great comedians. He has a peculiar style that anyone with the slightest sense of humor can laugh at
When Patrice passed away, Norm tweeted about it declaring we lost the funniest comic on the planet. These are comics who a ton of people found later thanks to RU-vid for a reason; too subversive to be that mainstream because they were true artists of stand-up and absolutely fucking hilarious.
I love Patrice and Joe, not too familiar with Nate(but I've seen his special, really funny), but what REALLY struck me was Nate's story of "barking" for the Boston comedy club. Wow, young comics have to do such hustle these days just to get 5 minutes on a good club.
