As I find myself playing the same games again and again when I need to destress I wonder how and why these games resonate in this way for me. I wanted to take a look at what makes a so called 'comfort' game and the characteristics a game needs to fill that job description. I find through a little research and discussion with friends that comfort games aren't exactly what I assumed they were. Or at least the definition isn't as rigid as I had originally thought...
