Bro, Im happy to have subscribed today, You are obviously very intelligent and making great selfless content, I really enjoyed the business idea, Ive never learned what the plant is for exactly but I will give it a search, perhaps that would be a great addition to your content, to teach what the plants you share are used for, why they are or are not desirable. Perhaps they bring something to the specific to the soil as well, like how clover brings nitrogen or mustard kills nematodes or how radishes break up compaction. The world of plants and soil is fascinating, its incredible how much we can learn and how the more we learn the more we realize we don't know. I always value knowledge but I also value not knowing, so I often disagree but only to continue my quest for a more clear understanding of this planet. Thank you for sharing your experiences and contributing to my understanding of the world. You are doing great work!

I grow and sell comfrey, at least I try. No one around here even knows what it is and when I try to educate them on it’s attributes, they could care less. I’ll sell one gallon plants for $3.99 and can barely give them away.

Online sales is probably the way to go if you want big bucks. Kind of a niche plant, I guess.

Hi Daniel and Ruia, so happy to hang out at the Heartland picnic with you. Kept wanting to come over and talk with you Ruia sorry I didn’t get the chance. By the way you looked beautiful! I love the name Ivy and can’t wait to see her I’m sure you all are saying the very thing! We are learning so much from you Daniel, already looking forward to next picnic. You all have a beautiful day, lisa@moneypit homestead

AWWW SO PLEASED TO HEAR YOU SAY JUST DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. IT’S SO EASY TO GET DOWN WITH THINGS BUT LIKE YOU SAID YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE THINGS UP LATER ON. HAD NO IDEA HOW VALUABLE COMFREY IS, $37 THAT’S CRAZY MONEY! I GOTTA GET TO GROWING A HUGE FIELD OF THIS 😂 AND YOU CAN MAKE A BIG HEALTHY PLANT JUST FROM THAT ONE ROOT CROWN? 😱 AND ONE CROWN YOU CAN CHOP INTO THOSE TINY PIECES AND IT WILL STILL GROW?? AMAZING! I WONDER IF THEY HAVE THOSE SOIL KNIVES IN OUR WALMART IN CANADA 🤔 LOVE THIS VIDEO TODAY DANIEL REALLY GOOD INFO. YOU EXPLAIN STUFF REAL EASY. NICE 👍

Hello Daniel, I saw you were at the picnic with your family but I did get to speak with you. Mrs Brenda Duncan from Duncan 1900 Homestead, brought me a 5 gal bucket with a huge comfrey plant so I can get some cuttings for my new orchard. About the size you dug up in the video. My question for you is, should I go ahead and put some cuttings in the ground or in my huge mineral containers I’ve been growing tomatoes in this summer. I don’t want to loose them in the winter. I’m in warren co, Georgia zone 8A. Thanks Linda

It should be fine to go ahead and plant the cuttings now. For best results eliminate all the weeds first and put some good compost there! I’m sorry we didn’t get to connect at the picnic…these kids had me running around everywhere. Ha! Good luck with the comfrey! I think the stuff is great…love it!

Thank you for the advice. I was thinking we had time for rooting since I saw your video and how fast it grows. 👍

Maybe to be certain, it might not hurt to put a few cuttings or the big crown in your mineral container that you grew tomatoes in…but they should do just fine!
