I have to check my stack every week. My comic shop is always putting in books i didn't ask for. I believe they're hoping we never check so they can make more money. I never get home and find a book that i didn't order.
It's funny that you mentioned it but my shop actually called me and realized they put those books in my stock and they said next week I can take those books back and replace it with a new one
That a quite a cynical take. Hope you find a lcs you're more comfortable with. If i ever get a book i wasn't supposed to, even if I picked it up myself....my lcs will refund me if I bring it back. They do NOT want unhappy customers! I wouldn't go to an lcs if I thought they were trying to cheat.
It's pretty common for shops to do this - they are probably including things they think you might like based on your other choices. It's like personalized recs to show they care about your business. Of course, it made a lot more sense back when books were cheaper, but now I can't afford anything extra.

Nice haul as always Mike. Looking forward to Iron Man, but nervous about the story and art. I know you dropped Venom War Venomous, but I did read issue three, which was the final issue. Thought I would let you know Natasha did separate from her symbiote Sliver. During the climactic battle she releases him to make herself more vulnerable and draw all the zombiotes into one location. When she gets them all in the same room, she tells Sliver to rejoin her, but instead he attacks her, so Natasha tries to talk to him but in the meantime, Misery releases an anti-dote through the fire suppression system which also affects Sliver and he basically melts down to nothing. Last page Natasha is walking out and says he will be missed. So I think she is free of the symbiote. Personally, I am glad.
Absolute Wonder Woman and Grommets most anticipated comics this week. Also super excited to read Rook Exodus . That DC horror cover is my favorite cover this week .

The fat stack is back! Right on, Slayer. I have what I call the "Tom/Tom" rule: If I see Tom Taylor or Tom King as the writer on a book, it's an automatic skip. That saves me money, and frustration. It's a win-win! I'll be checking out your "Iron Man" review to see if that's worth checking out or not. I'm nervous because another member of your channel told me the new writer is known to be a guy who loves to write political crap, which is *not* what I want in my Iron Man book! Fingers-crossed... "Rook: Exodus" is going to rock no matter what. Great art, great writing. Can't wait to read that. Oh man, I used to have that "Thor #287!" So cool you picked that up for your smell test, but it ended up being scent-free! Haha! Too much.

I only pre ordered a Jim Lee cover of Absolute Wonder Woman but my schedule allowed me to stop by the lcs when they opened and they had a 1:25 and a 1:100 behind the counter. He sells the ratios at half ratio cost and I get a 20% discount for having a pull so I picked up both. I hope they’re good, we’ll see.
Hoping the new issue of venom war carnage is good, some in this event have been hit or miss but i love venom too much to miss out. The art has been so cool to check out in the main issues. Also wish i could get as many comics as you, my wife would go crazy if i came home with that many 😂
It's been years since they had a good Peter Parker story. Why are they creating all those new spider-man characters that no ones likes if they can't even do the original?

I don't get too mad about that stuff I understand they're trying to just make sure that everyone gets a copy and sometimes if they have to make an exception for one person they might have to do it for others If they have more copies next week I'll just buy it then.
I actually have that on my pull list and it did not show up In my box. Thank you for reminding me I'm going to have to read it online now and hopefully I'll be able to get the copy.
