What I loved most about this video is how "The Wife" supports your "hobbies". Seemed like no questions asked. Very rare to see that kind of support. Cheers to a wonderful couple!!!
I am not sure if that box was worth 200 dollars. He had Triple Action reprint comic way overpriced at 25 dollars. Then again it was a little difficult to see what was in the box. I hope there was some major keys in that box to justify forking up 600 dollars.
Lol.. that green 4th print Death of superman actually goes for 80 bucks in a high grade.. A platinum foil cover goes for around 100 and a polybagged platinum goes between 150-200.
I would've stuck at 4 bills. I definitely am not as knowledgeable as you in "the game", but I do a bit. Most of those aren't more than $5, if that. However, the heavy hitters I saw, could be worth it all. Plus adding to your personal collection of course.
@@dlv0187 I always have to remind my friends, "old doesn't mean valuable". I'm sure he knows that, but from what I saw, they were mostly just filler issues. The Death of Superman would've been worth more in that regard. $400 seemed extremely fair.
@@CEO_FADeD me personally, that $600 would not have been spent on fillers...no way is he gonna make that money back, not from any comic collector who is competent...not even a penny of a profit. @@bigbabysld Oh I agree. I do have to say though, the books are worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Maybe he saw a couple he needed to complete a series or two, I don't know. I agree though, I wouldn't have picked up that box. A bottom price for each (individually) was set at $10, which is ridiculous and about 5x the actual worths.

Nope. I own 10000 marvel books from this age and those were mostly dollar bin marvel titles overpriced by an old man who doesn’t know how to search eBay sold listings. Clint must be made of money nowadays because that was a dumb purchase
@@x4486xx I don't know $600 for that box, he skimmed quick but I saw a lot of re-prints and a lot of fillers, then after he sells the box the old man talks him into letting him keep the Nick Fury book. Those books all seemed to be bronze age, books like Kazar and Squadron Supreme, Machine man...this was risky, $400 (tops) would have been better.
