I’ve have been buying Archie titles recently bc they are inexpensive and I enjoy the covers - but I actually prefer the malt shop/bowling alley/dance hall covers over the beach scenes - I enjoy the “Americana” 🇺🇸 of the cover artwork/scenes.
I did managed to get out of work at 12:00 and drove straight to the Meadow Lands. I only found three tables with comics. I did get a copy of Superman #171 (1964) in mid-grade for $2.50. I got a few more and that was it. There didn’t seem to be much good comics but I could have missed a few tables because the place is fairly big. You seemed to locate a decent table.
Hi Jim, you got the complete Camelot 12parter for six bucks? That was a great deal. The other books are nice, as well, especially those Neal Adams covers. Great Haul.
Must be the third print part of this Hulk book. Ebay has graded books for the first print averaging under $200. I don't know my Archies, but I have someone who takes all the books I find in the dollar bins that have a cover price of 25 cents or lower. What he trades back has high value to me.
Congratulations on your new additions! I had no idea about the Hulk 377. I was getting Hulk from my LCS at the time. I remember getting the 1st print, I might have a 2nd one too. But no way do I have the 3rd print, I would remember that cover. I’m occasionally picking up some FFs, I like seeing what you pick up. I enjoyed the Simonson run. I was getting Marvel Two In Ones in the 70s as well as Marvel Team Ups.
I have incredible Hulk #377 1st and 2 copies of the second print. Hopefully soon I will be able to buy Hulk #377 3rd print and also the more rare Finnish edition of Hulk 377
John Byrne's issues of the 1990 Namor series are great reads with great art, and then suddenly Jae Lee took over the art and boy did it take some getting used to - the two styles could not have been more different. Night Thrasher in the movies or series? Why? Marvel has a lot better and better known characters. Same with Silver Sable, I enjoyed her series and like the character but no-one knows her outside the comics community.
