Attention Atlantic Canadian Visual Artists! Do you need help creating an online strategy to present your work? Would you like some guidance on how to digitally present your portfolio in a professional way, how to navigate and manage social media, and how to digitally collaborate and network during Covid-19 restrictions or other constraints?
Jones Gallery has received funding from Canada Council for the Arts to create an in-depth webinar series about digital professionalization and online strategies for Atlantic Canadian visual artists. We are distilling some of our ideas and experiences into (what we hope) is a useful guide for our region's artists - a strategy to help you work, connect, and adapt in a digital environment.
COST
All ARTwork webinar content will be completely free and accessible to everyone. No registration or log-ins required.
WHERE TO FIND IT
ARTwork videos will be posted on our RU-vid channel and our website: www.jonesgallery.ca/artwork.
ABOUT JONES GALLERY
Jones Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Saint John, NB, with a programming focus on painting, sculpture and installation-based work by contemporary Canadian artists. We represent a meticulously selected roster of emerging and mid-career artists, and regularly present ambitious solo exhibitions and other projects. The gallery also offers a range of other services and initiatives, including collection management, a publishing wing, professional resources and programming for visual artists, a lecture series, and study abroad programs. Jones Gallery would like to gratefully acknowledge the support of Canada Council for the Arts, the Province of New Brunswick, and the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation for its broader programming efforts.
ABOUT THE ARTwork FACILITATOR
Sarah Jones (BA, MA) is the co-founder and curator of Jones Gallery, as well as a visual artist and art historian. As a visual artist, she has participated in solo and group exhibitions across Canada and abroad, and her work is held in the public collections of the University of New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Art Bank. Sarah is a recipient of numerous grants and awards, including funding from ArtsNB and Canada Council for the Arts, and has served on art juries across Canada. She consults and speaks widely on business leadership, entrepreneurship in the arts, and gallery management. She also teaches art history occasionally at University of New Brunswick and is the lecture lead for the Jones Gallery Study Abroad program.
