New software 8/23/20 update on Comma II makes this device even better. I've had mine for over 6 months and so far it is doing most of my driving. I love using it everywhere....highways...byways....city.....country roads with no center or edge lines....even gravel roads.....They update the software to address issues that are brought up by the users.....what a company!!!!!! It is really amazing and makes driving less of a chore especially in heavy traffic. I have a 2018 Prius 4 and so far it was well worth the cost to add this amazing device to it. IF your car is supported....and more are being added all the time, the just get it......Highly recommended.

I have it on my 2018 Rav4 and can conquer that it is great for for most roadways, tho my luck has not been as good on gravel roads. Just wondering if you unplug the dsu or kept it stock like I have. Does it improve the function of the comma 2 unit?

From what I understand the front facing cameras monitor the driver? I'm very tall and am afraid they won't see me mounted that high.

I wonder if this could be developed to use the dash screen in cars instead and clip on the driver cameras to the rear view mirror?

Kinda wonder if you've considered using a shroud around the camera to reduce reflections. Might take up too much if the drivers view though.

This would have been helpful 4 months ago. I waited 24 hours and it is still doing okay. 48 hours if you want to be sure I guess. My only problem is that the Texas heat is unbearable. The comma2 would overheat if I don't put it away when the car is parked outside.

Overheat in what way?

@@AndyMcBlane When I turned my car on, comma2 has a message that said the temperature is too high for it to operate or it would just have a black screen. That had happened on several occasions so when I am out and about, I would disconnect it and put it in the gloves compartment and reconnect it when I get back in the car. And yes, it would be burning hot to the touch. That is why my dashcam does not have a battery inside it and instead, a resistor. The heat here is above 100 degree outside pretty often in the summer.

Choo Choo MotherTrucker does your comma have a battery or is it the version without? I’m in Australian heat so I know what you mean 😂 nothing like not being able to touch the steering wheel

@@AndyMcBlane According to Comma, it does not. I don't think there are two versions.
