Time to finally remove GLA from Europe. Although Europe according to these briefings has solely been Germany.
The GLA has a combined USA and GLA forces in this region, and some USA forces have been left on the map as neutral units, some to the W of your base and more to the S by a mini GLA expansion.
Red Guards nabbing them is key for an early defense whilst you work on capturing and converting the fake GLA Command Centre.
I turn the SE base into my main base and let the forces consume my original base, the annoying thing about this is that a lot of the space isn't buildable so it becomes a bit of a struggle to hold this area. The train running through also semi frequently took out Dozers. The Workers I wasn't so bothered about as they were cheap and easy to replace. I found the attacks to be rather minimal once I was holed up here, it just ended up being a bit of a slow process.
The Super Weapons being the main threat with a small but almost constant flow of infantry from the W bridge and a smallish semi-frequent force from the NW and NE that my units could manage. For the bridge I initally was intending to use a Palace with Jarmen Kell and some RPG Troopers.
The kind of annoying thing that happened was the destruction of the captured USA dozer. I could evidently see that Colonel Burton would have been a great play for the GLA base as there's plenty of mountainous areas for him to climb over and they had minimal defence here. Burton could have cleaned up A LOT. In fact a three Hero approach might have been a great play. Jarmen Kell to snipe Stinger Sites and other infantry Lotus to capture structures more efficiently than Red Guards and Burton to take on softer targets.
Helixes would have been another option but I couldn't really fit an Air Field in. I end up with a China ground assault and some Nukes. The USA base can fall with a few Nukes. The GLA Radar Scan ability helps reveal the lcoation of the Particle Cannon in the USA base and leaves it ripe for a strike.
The SW base is easy enough with an Overlord and Inferno combination, but the SCUD Launchers are something to be aware of. The USA base will fall much quicker than the GLA one as you can roll across the bridge easy enough and find a hole in their defence (though there's an Artillery platform to look out for).
With everything destroyed you get a rather disappointing ending.
The worst expansion campaign wise in my opinion. Cheaply produced FMVs for both this and the original Generals are one of the major things that let it down.
I like the extra sub-factions in Zero Hour, and Generals Challenge, but I'm glad to have finally finished with this to be honest. I won't hurry back to play either Generals or Zero Hour for at least a few years now.
Kane's Wrath and Firestorm are the two Gold standards for C&C expansions in my opinion, with Yuri's Revenge not being far behind them. All three of them had very memorable campaigns and after having played all three of them again in the past few months they definitely still play well.
There's still one expansion I have left to play in the series. At some point. Perhaps.

My favorite C&C Game is The First Red Alert. Then Generals would be my second favorite in the series but I’ve enjoyed playing all of them. I miss the old C&C days
