Sure, the graphics of today's games are much more impressive, but a lot of the old Westwood games are absolute classics. Renegade, Red Alert and Tiberian Sun are up there in my all-time favourites.
Tought with enough passion the future of gaming would be epic with those graphics and more. But no and we all know why. parts Paradise hijacked into degeneration. Hope is only with the passionate being defended and provocated
same here, man. If only the Orca fighters would be able to do strafe runs and attack air targets, such as banshee fighters. Although it is possible to achieve it separately. The AA - functionality is added with a non-official hyperpatch for Tiberian Sun.
@@MisterMaggot Disruptors for sure, Titans a little bit. Always found a lot of GDI stuff to be underpowered though; Disc Throwers are a liability since they explode on death and kill nearby infantry so GDI basically have no practical anti-armour infantry (and no anti-air, unlike Nod!). Jumpjet Infantry are expensive scouts really, since by the time you get them and have the credits to build enough of them, their use is limited (machine gun attacks aren't great vs structures). Wolverines are kinda fragile, always the first to go in an attack I find. Hover MLRS are too fragile and not enough damage output or range. Orca Fighters might as well be throwing Nerf darts, and require too much micro-management. Orca Bombers, you need basically 4 to take out any key building and if they have any serious anti-air you're most likely not going to crack it. Juggernauts in the expansion consistently get outmatched by Nod Artillery, and their inaccuracy is a bit of pain to deal with. I only play skirmish these days so these are compstomp observations not competitive.
Maybe it's just me, but I think everything in Tiberian Sun had this really though bad-ass look the other Tiberium universe games had not that much. Maybe because of the cinematics and stuff I don't know.
My first PC game, got it for my first PC when i was about 8 after playing the original on N64 for hours. C&C is my favorite game and nothing has ever come close to it, I've completed it many times and after watching this, i wanna go and start over again...
C&C was my first PC game I really miss playing this game when I was young boy remind me of my times back then the CGI was really very good at that time really admired it back then and still do. Want to play it again after watching this video best game ever of the century by Electronic Arts... Thanks for compiling this video 😀👍👍👍
I just loved the design in Tiberian Sun, both the GDI and Nod looked more badass in this game (including the Banshees, the Stealth tank, the Titans, the Mammoth Mk.II, etc.), I wished more and more game sequels would find a way to make something that was already cool and make them even cooler.
Indeed. This part and this music kinda mesmerise me - they give both the feeling of GDI military power and the benevolence of this organization, acting for the good of mankind.
they, uh... well the plasma cannon is a Scrin technology, so it is probably capable of something insane like compressing an EMP blast inside the plasma ball (coz the mammoth just fell over and stopped working but not physically destroyed)... it sorta looked like emp
Pretty sure it's one of the missions around the time you're attacking Vega's powerplant.. might be from one of the optional missions? (The titan is actually *inside* the hydroelectric dam if I remember right? not sure)

@BGVassil First time I saw the CABAL Core Defender I was thinking to myself, you got nothing bitch!! My 50 Orca Bombers Fleet will melt it to the ground. If that don't work, got 2 fleets of Hover MLRS waiting to engage and 5 large strike forces contain 25 Titan each ready to engage the Core Defender. Also with 100 Juggernauts ready to deploy and defend the base as last stand.
Hah Im assuming your talkin about the big walker when you finally kill CABAL. In my case it was enough Nod Artillery to where you create a crater so huge it cant get out :)
6:07 as if actually Orca Fighters would not be piloted by idiots, who fire the rockets very slowly, all the while extremely concerned about to make useless circles around the target, to make sure SAM sites got at least one of them. Orca Bomber rules though.
Why didn't that Mammoth Mk III destroyed the obelisks when it wrecks that base? I get that they want to show the Mammoth as an invincible weapon that can take many laser bolts, but still these obelisks were the greatest threat at that base.
Maybe one reason was because there was no Mammoth Mk III there. (thats the Mammoth tank in C&C 3, you are talking about the mammoth Mk II or 2) Doesn't make sense to me, even if the obelisks were no threat to the mammoth, they could simply destroy all other craft.
weird they seem different from how i remember oO and i played that game like 10 times oO are these different between the US and EU versions or something? some kind of censorship maybe? guess nobody commented on this for 2 years so i dont expect and answer xD ill just leave this here for some lone wanderer 10 years from now
If anyone of you here plays the German release of TS, check out the uncut patches on ModDB and Nyerguds' homepage. He and I worked on a patch which uncensored the cutscenes. (Soldiers are still referenced as cyborgs though)
