Immediately after a request to escort the "MICU" (Mobile Intensive Care Unit) from Nijmegen to the hospital in Leiden (LUMC) 3 officers from Team Verkeer Den Haag respond to this call. The rendezvous was planned at the gasstation Knorrestein along the A12 near Zoetermeer.
On route to this location the driver of the MICU contacted the officers to inform them about a new rendezvous-location (N11/A4)
The camera is mounted on the commander's (lead biker) helmet. His position is directly in front of the ambulance. He provides his fellow officers with information about the speed he and the ambulance are driving and about the distance from the intersections. The commander also informs the driver of the ambulance about bumps in the road, the direction to go and to speed up or slow down. He does this by using hand signals. If necessary the ambulancedriver can also contact the officers by radio in case of emergency.
