Tomer: will never consider a viewer-submitted list with hedron archive.... ME: Time to submit my Moonfolk tribal Kaldra list and add 1 HEDRON ARCHIVE!!!!!!
I'm sad they didn't play my "Secret from Tomer" Hedron Tribal deck, but man does it feel good to get a shout out from Seth and Crim. I'll probably need to update the deck now that we have Commander Legends stuff out and I really want to add some of those cards in.
@@stefanfan4030 Here's the link to the list I sent to the Goldfish Crew. I've already started brewing the sequel with the release of Commander Legends. Tomer don't you dare peek ;D ;D www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/3502465#paper
"cant break infinite spore frog fogs". Literally has a mimic vat on the battlefield, that just disrupted all graveyard shennanigans in the world. A Classic
I love that Pinching Station is a 7 mana artifact, that essentially makes half as many 2/2's per turn as Field of the Dead. Which costs nothing and taps for mana.
41:00 Tomer, "fun fact" . Me, "here he goes to gush about Kaldra." 41:30 "The Mirrodin set symbols are the pieces of Kaldra." Me, " pays 1 to create a sadness avatar."
Thank y'all for running my turtle deck! So excited to start running black with Archelos. Edit: Oof sorry for the flood. Man that was brutal, but hey, that's Magic for ya. Also that mystical tutor had so many hits in the deck, but I just checked the list and it looks like I forgot to put Devastation Tide in. Oh well, my B. Not the best showing but hey I thought the episode was great. Thank you Richard for running the deck!
@@turtle3611 It´s an awesome deck and there are some nice additions for my turtle deck. Turtles are a terrible tribe for tribe shenanigans. So i run a high toughness/ Sultai Clan theme for my deck. Adding Naga and Snakes for a little bit of extra flavour
@@genbu2870 Yeah they don't have any tribal synergy between them. But that's why I'm so excited to swap to Archelos just to add black to maybe shore up that lack of synergy. Also to add Wandering Tombshell lol. Hopefully Richard will champion the turtle tribe once again after Archelos releases.
I love this series. Please, never stop playing splashy spells and jank themes. If you guys ever start feeling commander fatigue, cycle out members to keep the magic alive. Thank you for brightening my weekend spent in quarantine!
*Tomer starts complaining about how all his ramp is too expensive* Me: Ok Tomer chill out- *Seth plays a Gaddock Teeg locking Tomer out of his ramp* Me: THAT RAMP IS FAR TOO EXPENSIVE
Clicked for Mageta, was not disappointed. Also, never realized there was a debate on how his name was said, but at least he wrecked the board a bunch of times! Seems like a commander that is fun and crazy, and by being mono-white, is not going to be too nuts by definition. I suppose the proliferation of white effects that give your board indestructible makes him more interesting, but mono-white just struggles, even with a commander that in other colors would probably be really nuts.
oh lord, that no scope was priceless! A bunch of feels rushed into me when I saw you draw it! I was like "oh Tomer is going to loooooove this!". Feels good. Edit: TOMER NOOOOOO!!!!! you had one job!
I know this is a year old but I couldn’t believe what I was hearing come out of Tomers mouth on that one. Nas is consistently on peoples top 20s of all time. I’m from NY so I know I have an east coast bias but underrated??!
Whether something is a fruit or vegetable depends on context - are you speaking as a botanist, or discussing food? Tomatoes are the fruit of the plant, but when discussing food, most people consider them a vegetable. I'm not sure who considers garlic a fruit, given that the bulb is not the flower or fruit of the plant.
The garlic part that is consumed is the seed part. A fruit is the seeding portion of the plant. Vegetables are the roots, leaves, and stems of the plants.
Re: Cyclonic Rift. The reason its not fun to watch is that its a single card that either wins the game, or means that only one person gets to play from now on. Insurrection will usually mean 1 person loses, but then the board state returns and the game continues (ignoring sac outlets and other shenanigans, but then its a multi card combo.)
I have loved Kaldra since I first opened them, I got my pieces from packs I opened and back then when I didn't have full spoilers for a set it was incredible saving up allowance and cracking packs, for no value, until you opened the equipment matching the set symbol (mirrodin - sword, darksteel - shield, fifth dawn - helm) and then I put them into every deck I made from then on. And while now I don't have them in every deck I always have at least one deck with them in it!
facecams are so insane how much they add to the show now seeing it when you dont have them. Makes me wonder in two years what will be insane that we dont have today.
I think you guys should maybe talk about the powerlevel of decks before an episode so that there aren't two players with actually playable cards facing turtle tribal
@Tomer Botanically, garlic (Allium sativum) is considered a vegetable. It shows characteristics of a vegetable as it has a bulb, tall stem, and long leaves.
'Vegetable' in the context Tomer was seeking is a culinary term, not a biological ones, so the Wikipedia article won't tell you. As a cook, I can tell you garlic is a seasoning, not a vegetable.
That was 100% a win for Tomer. It was literally one of those occurrences that would never happen in paper (skipping combat due to MTGO lag), which in the past has always been a "you'd have killed us, so we will concede" moment. When that didn't happen, I stopped watching, because who really want to watch 30 minutes of a match that should be over?
I watched it tommer whiffed his attack step!!!! Big time fail . I agree he had that wrapped up but man he skipped his attack step lol.I usually don’t think folks should be punished for little mistakes but man that was kinda yuuuge.
How can I submit my list for the next "submitted decklists" video? I have a Vannifar EDH deck that's poppin sweet and I wish to see it played in some big channels like yours. Since my birthday it's on 15th of December, it would be the best birthday wish ever! Just saying tho huehue
I would have got cruel celebrant instead of sun titan with mimic vat, or copy it later with rite of replication. Seth have very few outs to 20-30 cruel celebrants, even if he won't die immediatly, and even 1 break his sacrifice loop win. Sac fog frog? Sure, drain you for 30.
Brudiclad is one of those commanders everyone agrees is cool, to the point it's requested everywhere. EDHRec staff have all built it at least once each.
Brudiclad is literally my top 5 favorite creatures ever, I build around him all the time. I used to have a veryyy cool version of him I called "Attack of the Clones". Sadly, I had to sell a chunk of it ;(
Garlic is a vegetable. Fruits are defined as the seed bearing structure from flowering plants formed from the ovary after flowering. Vegetables are loosely defined as pretty much every other edible parts of plants. Fun fact: the state vegetable of Oklahoma (my home state) is the Watermelon. Wish I was kidding.
NAS was the first rapper to ever win a Grammy with his song featuring Lauren Hill "If I Ruled The World". He got best song of the year. At the time there wasn't a rap/hip-hop category.
Also Tomer: Has incredibly destructive game ending board state with "Poo Poo" deck. Also Also Tomer: Skips his game ending combat. Also sad he didnt just make them all sun titans.
In English, the term "vegetable" is pretty loose and is often used to describe, like, any leafy green or planty food thing. There might be some scientific definition but it's loosly "any edible plant". So I'd say garlic is a vegetable, but a subcategory of like, rooty vegetable versus a leafy vegetable like cabbage or something
I would like Cyclonic Rift to stay on the banned list for Commander Clash so that people will not hassle. I love the card, and I don't mind seeing it win games. But I like not seeing people hassle about it.
Brudiclad has a couple of ways of dealing with enchantments, mainly copying Knight of Autumn with Rite of Replication, but also more realistically Ugin, the Ineffable.
Tayam only removes counters from creatures, so Tangle Wire doesn't combo with Tayam directly. It's in the deck as a very powerful stax card in the short term, and helps protect him from interaction early on while you set up the board for a combo win. That said he sat around with Fiend Artisan in his graveyard for what felt like forever, but kept talking about needing a sac outlet. Fiend Artisan's whole job in the deck is to tutor combo and stax pieces as needed.
Fun thought for Seth to use tangle wire in combo with Vorinclex to stop the fad counters so you have opponents tapping four things each turn. A bit cheesy and annoying but otherwise funny to see happen. :P
At 2:24:52 i was in pain because tomer, even though he didn't seem to realize it, was 1 mana short of winning the game. If he had enough mana to cast rite of replication kicked on plaguecrafter or fleshbag, seth would've had to sacrifice 5 of his 7 creatures, but only gotten drained for 10. making it really really hard for seth to close out the game and thus getting his win even after the earlier punt. Even so this game was great i think both Tayam and Brudiclad had a great showing!
Am I missing something or is the math in the Cloning Golems page wrong? wouldn't 2 kicked Rites just give you 186 Precursor Golems and 1017 Vanilla Golems?
No. After the first Rite, you have 6 Precursor Golems, so when you cast the second Rite you get 6 triggers. When each trigger resolves, you get a kicked Rite targeting each of your other golems. Those resolve before the remaining triggers, making 5 copies of each of your golems, and the ones that are precursors make more vanilla golems. Then you resolve the next trigger and get another set of Rites targeting all your golems...
Tayam in casual is only good if you go for the combo routes which isnt that much fun, because if not going that route, there are better commanders for doing aristocrats stuff in Abzan.. He is pure value town but takes times in casual which is fine. Tayam has builds on the cEDH database weirdly enough. He is not bad at all and can be lightning fast in the good circumstance, but if he is "destroyed" or wiped, he is pretty slow This game was super fun :) Everyone did their things and it was a blast to watch
i don't get why seth was searching for a sac outlet as spore frog is selfsacrifice he just had to get it in case of and reanimate it in response to anything after sac it
Blue and red has many option to enchantment... You don't need colorless. Any steal effect Any shuffle target effect (Chaos warp, Commit, etc) Any bounce effect would negate the counter Reality Acid is really good with bounce effect.
As far as I'm concerned Tomer punted the win when he forgot to mirrorpool the first time and then deciding to make sun titan exile under mimic vat when he had litter to no value from using sun titan.
